I'm heading out to St. Petersburg (nee Leningrad) to see the White Nights.

No, they're not an MLS team. Because of the city's northern latitude (about the same as Alaska), there are a few weeks in the summertime when it never gets completely dark. Dusk becomes dawn.

My questions:
1) For how many days can a person possibly stay awake in perpetual sunlight?
2) Are there any cool side effects (e.g. hallucinations) that I can look forward to?
3) What is the etiquette for becoming someone's bitch in a Russian drunk tank?

I was hoping for more of a "crossing the border rat-holing a balloon" type theme here. Maybe with a nice prison stay, and then you bite some guy's tounge out, your chick shows her boobs on some glass...maybe you gotta do some "stuff" in a Russian prison just to "get by".

Then it would be REALLY cool if you like...pushed the guard onto a coathook as he tried to rodger your bum, and it impaled his neck and killed him. Then stole his clothes and escaped Turkey....I mean uhhh...Russia. Yeah, Russia...




hmmm......
