Instead of "todays active discussions", has there ever been any thought to "active discussions in the past 24 hours" or, perhaps more do-able, a "todays active discussions" AND a "yesterdays active discussions"...? As a member who usually starts his Rf.net reading around midnight, this would be very helpful. I'd like to know what the mods and admins think. Thanks

i hear you chris. if they had a yesterday's active discussions i wouldn't have to run all over the place at midnight when there is nothing there.

it's probably a pain in the ass to do though, and if it requires work they shouldn't bother. i know i wouldn't

I just usually search for my own name, so I can check who's been responding after me on topics, and respond to that.

What I don't like is that even if someone just looks at a post, I think it stays active. That pisses me off, cause I just want to know if someone new responded!

It's funny....I NEVER use the "Today's Active Discussions" feature, and I don't know why. I always go to the main page of the Message Board and see which forums have new posts in them since my last visit, and check that way.

Your suggestion would save a lot of clicking around, Chris. I'll see what Jeff says about the idea.

Thanks GVAC. I dont post every single day, so the "just ck my old posts" suggestion doesnt work. I may miss the one thread that could change my life. lol

so ignoring a long list of unread posts is different than ignoring the unread posts in each forum?

I think the real problem is there are too many post whores out there who just post about whatevers on their mind to get their post #'s up. They are usually pointless and whats more most of the sheep post even dumber respones.
the mods should make an area for quality threads.
I think another problem is people who are new with 4 posts who post only to instigate problems
its starting to make the board ridiculous
or maybe i should just become a post whore myself

INDEED! Just trying to up your post count is something a lot of people are too concerned with. I think it's a rookie mistake that most grow out of. I know I did VERY quickly.

Just because you have a low post count doesn't make your opinion any less important. If you're funny, I'll laugh and agree or disagree. IF you suck, you'll be hearing form me....
