ok so price is right has been on forever, and it's a decent show even though the idea of pricing items as a game is sort of ridiculous. but, recently, i saw this awful shopping game show for the first time. it was possibly the most low budget show i have ever seen. the final part has the three teams of two running around a supermarket, filling up their wagons with the most expensive items they can find. then, the team with the highest total for their items wins. this might be the most inane exercise i have ever witnessed, and yet, i must say, i was riveted. shopping game shows rock

SUPERMARKET SWEEP is still hot in my book!
I loved those oversized bonus items in the supermarket.
That and Shop Till You Drop when it was on LIFETIME made me smile when I was home at that time.

Going back to those carefree days of my 16th year, the teacher of the driving course I took was a contestant on Supermarket Sweep some time previous to the time I met him. The guy who won that day had won serveral days in a row, and my instructor asked what the secret was.
Seems the guy's secret was to take three of the largest size of olive oil (you can only take three of each item, max) and then do his family's shopping. This strategy had won him quite a lot so far, but he had no clue what he was going to do with all the olive oil.

There's nothing better than watching people try and stuff as many frozen turkeys and hams into their shopping carts before time runs out.
That being said, what's this Supermarket Sweep you speak of?
