speeding ticket getaway

I got pulled over today on my way to my Air National Guard duties.. the first time since I was eighteen. Luckily, I was wearing my uniform and the cop let me go, telling me to "slow down." I feel like Anthony. Anyone else have any good "getting out of a ticket" stories?

A couple of years ago I got pulled over by a Maryland State Trooper on I-270.

I had a map folded out on the passenger's seat and explained that, being from DC, I was not familiar with the road and I was looking at the map for the right exit and therefore wasn't paying attention to how fast I was going.

He told me to slow down and then gave me directions!

I've only been pulled over once. I got out of it cuz I'm a chick and I have big boobs! :)

When I was still in HS, a friend had bought a used car with some minor problems, among them, a flakey speedometer that didn't read correctly. We decided to check the accuracy by going to a deserted stretch of road near where we live, and mark out a couple of miles with some chalk lines. Then hit (according to the speedometer) a constant speed and check the accuracy.

Wouldn't you know it, the only car to come down the road as we were drawing a chalk mark on it was a police car. After some interrogation, and ID checks and everything, he told us to get out of there. Apparently this road occasionally has some "stuff" go down on it, and he thought we were in on it. We were clearly violating laws against stopping where we did, but he just wanted us out of there.
