If we've learned anything being fans of these guys, it's that they're incredibly adept at doing a variety of different kinds of shows.

They'll have listeners in the studio getting drunk, they'll have staff members playing practical jokes on one another, they'll do "Big ASS Simulcast", etc.

I enjoy damn near everything they do, but to me, Ron and Fez are at their best when it's just the two of them reminiscing about old TV shows, commercials, songs, and the like. Even when they just goof on some of the news of the day they're golden. It's great how the callers "get it" and will just keep adding to the nonsense.

You make a good point gvac -- I think that's why I enjoy the show so much. I liked the bit they did the other night which was "Whatever happened to...?" about former celebrities like Adrian Zmed, the Brat Pack, Ralph Macchio, etc. There was some good subreferencing there.

I'm kind of partial to the Big ASS Simulcast. It's kind of "Mystery Science Theater 3000-esque" and shows off Ron and Fez's quick wit.

My favorite kind of shows are the kind when they invite board members into the studio to watch hot chicks model lingerie. I dunno about you Gvac...but those are my favorite.

Not that it takes a whole show, but I laugh hardest when Al books some stupid guest for a phone interview and Iris, Andre, Jan, Kenny, et al, join in. Just seeing how long it takes for the guest to realize whats going on. I guess those will end this week when Al leaves town. Oh--and they should do more Xfiles trivia with cops as contestants.

pyramid of comedy

You have to start with a good "foundation" for comedy. And then people can build on one by one.

Well, they do a lot of different things each show, so I think the proper question is What is your favorite type of Segment on the show.

Mine has to be when they ask a question, give a few examples of the joke answers they're searching for, then throw it to the instant feedback and phones. HA! ALWAYS CLASSIC! I like it bacause it gives us all a chance to be funny too!

But then, they can switch to a bad guest in the same show, and Andre and Iris are asking the best questions!

VIVA LA IRIS!

My favorite show was when they had Tuttle with the Confederate flag in the Bronx, then they spent the whole show talking about the movie "The Warriors." So I guess I would have to agree with Gvac that when they talk about stuff you remember from childhood they are at their best.

We live in the present, we dream of the future and we learn eternal truths from the past.

By that, do you mean stare at their feet, Rich?

Oh, and I'll have to agree that any show where a character makes an appearance is the best. Especially Paco, the Mexican Lawyer who never wins a case.
