The outcome of the fight, and Al's new job...

Myself and a few others have been pondering what the outcome of Friday's fight will be, since it's kind of obvious that Al's gonna lose.

Someone was theorizing that Al has a new job lined up, and I agree. In fact, here are more pieces of the puzzle.

Don and Mike are currently in reruns in *NEW YORK ONLY*. They are live in middays on WYSP and nationwide.

That indicates to me that Don and Mike are all but done on WNEW and management is just filling the time up until a show can fill the spot, much like what happened to Leslie Gold when the lineup was shaken up.

Now, the stips of the fight are very important - is it LOSER LEAVES WNEW or LOSER LEAVES THE SHOW? This is the key sticking point.

If it's loser leaves the show, then Al goes to the midday show and gets a fresh start, and R&F gets more streamlined.

If it's loser leaves WNEW, then what I've said makes no sense whatsoever.

Then again, I make no sense to begin with.

Good point. Though I have my own theory. I think Al and Rory are the same person and that he's just going to beat the crap out of himself on stage. That way, no matter who wins, Al can't lose.

But this all depends on whether anyone has ever seen the two together. If that's happened, then my theory makes no sense.

i was there last night and i assure you they are both real and both VERY pissed off at eachother.. al was flailing so much i almost got hit several times! :) so yes they are both real

Yeah, I have no idea what will be on WNEW after Don and Mike leave, but I hope Al's involved (or Rory if the unfathomable happens). I don't know much about what goes on behind behind the velvet curtain, but I'd hope that they wouldn't want anyone's career to be ruined.

OUTCOME OF THE FIGHT:
Round 1(ding ding)
Al comes out swinging witha left hook. Rory is jabbing...Jabbing...weaving...Al misses with an overhand right. Rory counters with a body blow...body blow...uppercut...left..right...left...Al is reeling...Al is on his knees...Al closes his eyes and in desparation lets loose a wild uppercut hitting Rory right in the junk. Rory is down. Rory is down..Luckily it is the same ref and judges from the last BANOF so the foul goes unnoticed. Al gets up off his knees. Rory cannot get up in time. Fight is over...Al wins..Al wins...Rory leaves with a bruised ego and bruised yambag. Al leaves as the champion with dirty knees.

And to boot "Men in Black II" is coming out! Perhaps Al is going back to his home planet of Uranus!
