View Full Version : how do you like your iced tea?
On occasion, I'll treat myself to a nice iced tea and a chocolate cookie from Starbucks. One day I made the mistake of getting the "passion fruit" iced tea (I just asked for "iced tea"). Apparently, she must've thought I asked for "dirty ass water," because that's what passion fruit iced tea tastes like. When I go down South, I like to drink that sugar syrup they call iced tea. My grandma makes the best sweetened tea, but they just call it tea. Hot tea I don't really go for, it's like a weak version of coffee. Bleck.

the best is from saints alp tea house in the village... they have so many different kinds, all different flavors of green teas, black teas, taro root, juice/tea mixtures, they are all just amazing. and the best part... tapioca balls at the bottom! mmmmm so good. we should have a board outing there sometime...

Usually I drink a very sweet ice
tea with lemon, but lately I've
been drinking ice tea with
raspberries. Thats about as
adventurous as I get with tea.
But it has to be super sweet. I
like a lot of sugar with my tea.

I USED to have this cool machine that you just put Ice, sugar, and lemon to taste in a big plastic piture, and then it brewed Iced Tea just like a Coffee Machine! And because you started with a lot of ice in the picutre, it was pretty cold to start with, and ready to drink right then.
But now I'm at the mercy of powdered Iced Tea. but luckily, I'e found that the store brand is better than Lipton, and other name brands! Top on the list is:
1. Shoprite
2. Pathmark
3. America's Choice (A&P)

That's sounds good to me, I'll take one of those too! :)
I don't really drink it anymore. But I used to be obsessed with Snapple Raspberry tea and Arizona. Yum, Yum...

The powdered Lipton kind will always hold a place in my heart, but I also dig Snapple, Arizona Ice Tea, and Nestea.
