I read that Aleister Crowley (from the song "Mr. Crowley") considered the number 11 his lucky number. "K" is the 11th letter of the alphabet so that is why he added it to the word "magic".

i think of magic as stage act magic, and i think of magick as the magick that is performed in rituals....
i have books that use both spellings, so i don't think it really makes a difference
