varying shyness

no matter what i am shy...but to open up to people the time varies

sometimes i become unshy after the first meeting, sometimes it takes a little longer to open up, or sometimes i always stay shy

it all depends on how comfortable i feel with that person, but i dont know what makes me feel this way

i met two people this weekend that i talk to online all the time and they are both shy like me, but i opened up to one and stayed shy with the other

what determines whether i open up or not, because i really dont know

AMY - Partially. of course, there is a connection between the degree of comfort felt with the person. Partially, deciding to open up is a judgment call. It's important to remember that there is always a chance that someone you open up to will hurt you. It makes sense that someone you've invested a lot of emotional feelings toward has this power. Opening up is a process and you shouldn't feel compelled to share your life story, angst or problems at one sitting. Friendships take time to develop.
