Stacker 2 is dangerous. It speeds up your heart rate and can damage your central nervous system. It's like drinking 100 cups of coffee, only in capsule form. If you want to lose weight, it's simple. Eat healthty and exercise. There are no shortcuts, especially in a pill!
Actually Heckler, there's really little to no danger in taking stacker 2. Of course, I'm talking about the standard dose of 1 per meal, 3 at most a day. I happen to research drugs of all types and can tell you the following things about the health "risks" of taking stacker 2.
Out of the ingredients (which include Kola Nut Extract, White Willow Bark, Chromium Picolinate, and Ephedra Extract), only the ephedra, can be considered "dangerous", in it's most extreme forms. Ephedrine appears in two forms: as pills, and in a large array of herbal mahuang formulations, including pills and leaves that are brewed as teas. The active ingredients in all forms is ephedrine. Ephedrine in various herbal preperations has become popular as a "safe and natural" stimulant and diet aid.
At excessive doses, which would be from 5 to 6 times the suggested dose, ephedrine can cause amphetamine-like excitation. At therapudic doses, ephedrine has been used as a safe and effective drug for treating asthma for thousands of years, which as you said, causes an increase in heart rate and blood pressure which has been responsible for cardiovascular problems and death in largely excessive doses.
The amount of ephedra contained in a stacker 2 pill is the small dose of 25mg. You can buy one of many "bronchiole expectorants" in a gas station, which are nothing more than ephedrine pills, which if used correctly, can in fact treat asthma. However, if taken in larger doses, can produce a small high, which is why you find mose "Herbal ecstasy" pills contain slightly larger doses of ephedrine..
From personal experience with both "bronchial expectorants" and Stacker 2, I can tell you there is a very small oppertunity for one to hurt themselves using correct, or at least "responsible" doses..
Oh, and it's nothing like drinking a hundred cups of coffee. Caffine speeds up your heart rate just the same, as does niccotine, and sugar. Is it a concern if you drink a cup of coffee while smoking a cigarette and eating a chocolate bar? No.. If you eat 25 pounds of chocolate, smoke 10 packs of cigarettes and wash it all down with 5 gallons of coffee with 3 pounds of sugar, well my friend, you're a dumb bastard. People have to accept responsibility for themselves sometimes.
