WHAT THE HELL? Couch Potatoes?

I turned on WNEW at 7 PM today
(Saturday) and instead of the
usual Ron & Fez Best-Of, there is
some REALLY GAY show called
"The Couch Potatoes"! It's some
guy and lady and they both
sound old and boring and they
just talk about old TV shows and
it STINKS! What's NEW thinking?
I'd much rather hear an old R&F.

and I was ready to go all news. Interesting
concept but, a regular show, I don't thing so. I
went to another station. I love a good old best of

I only heard a little of it but I actually liked it. I dont know if this show will be permanent or maybe just a one time thing. With Ron and Fez doing two shows a day maybe WNEW decided not to overexpose them too much on weekends

I actually didn't mind the show too much because it took my mind off of waiting for a bus that took an hour to arrive. Although i did expect Ron and Fez to be on at that time i was surprised to hear this show which of course made me say WTF, I've heard much worse radio than this(anyone who hears any of my airchecks can agree with me). It was just pretty funny to know that the female host is Lori Kramer, the Radio Chick's old partner from their boston days.

OK first of all I want to say that I did catch a few minutes of it before I went on my lil double date and I have to say this has to be the stupidest thing ever.

The Couch Potatoes... this begs the question. Before I say what I think I want to say I want to tell all that I have no insider info.

So here goes. Does anyone have a sinking feeling that they tried to put this in the primetime slot to see if it would be good for primetime weekdays? Possibly replacing Ron and Fez in primetime (God no!) and our beloved R&F gets displaced on the 10-2 slot? The title of the show "Couch Potatoes" would be a fitting title for a show at night.

Hopefully my gut feeling is wrong and this lame show stays on Saturdays for those who don't ge out much.

night and thought it was ok,
Granted R&F are the best (up
there with Stern) and 100 times
better than O&A, but some of
you need to give other shows
some time.

Ok fitz, you're probably right about that statement.

But for myself I did try to give it a chance. I listen to a myriad of radio shows (political, shock jock, sports, music) so I do listen to other things. Well next time I'm home on a Saturday night, I'll listen for the 3 hours. Hope that ain't a regular occurence though.

From what I heard it was not really funny but it was better than anything Don and Mike can produce. They seem to be more of a morning Z100 formatted show. It's different than what WNEW has and maybe that's a good thing. Just maybe.

Well I just want to give an update to those people wondering about Couch Potatoes.

I guess they got cancelled cuz from the 7PM hour when I was still home I heard the Best of Ron and Fez on Thurday with Rutger Howard.

Ha Ha... they lasted shorter than OnA's lil NBC show. No that's just plain sad.
