the next comic book movie?

the question i pose is what should the next one be?
i say ghost rider
not johnny blaze though
i like danny ketch.

Ghost Rider is reportedly late in development, and they are just trying to nail down a final script before preproduction. The comic movie I want to see, but I don't know how it would be done is the Watchmen. Trouble with that is, it would be a big budget movie for a realitively small comic audience, a big gamble for a studio with a movie that probably lacks true broad appeal.

i'd love to see a movie version of "Preacher" but that would never happen :( (oh, but could you imagine how many people it'd piss off if it did?)

a movie version of "transmetropolitan" would be very cool too. The first story arc (back on the street) would run like a pretty good movie, or maybe they could combine back on the street with "year of the bastard" (i've only read the early stuff)

I'd love to see a Green Lantern movie, but I doubt it will ever happen.

And on a side note, whatever happened to the supposed Superman remake? I heard tons of stories about possible ideas, but is it just in limbo right now?

There are a lot of comic movies out or coming out, and I was checking up on Watchmen. It is now slated for 2009 release.

The biggest shock is that Jackie Earle Haley is going to play Rorschach! He's had a pretty long career, but most people would know him from "The Bad News Bears," "Breaking Away," and a slew of 1970's TV episodes.

Anybody else keeping track of this stuff? "30 Days of Nights" opens this weekend and I'm hoping for good things.

i'm mainly waiting for the next hulk movie and obviously iron man and the next batman

THE JUSTICE LEAGUE is in the early stages of production. Nice article aboot it in Entertainment Weekly just a few issues ago. Batman, Flash, Wonder Woman, Supes... everbody. They're all in there.

Watchmen will either be very good or very bad. Though I feel like those involved have taken so much painstaking time with it that they are making sure they get it right, because if there is any comic book that it's original audience will get pissed about if the movie sucks it's def Watchmen.
