i know that stone cold needed a change in his act. he's been playing the kick ass S.O.B. that everyone loves for a long time now. But i dont think that stone cold can be really convincing as a heel... how many times do we have to hear him say "i am stone cold steve austin and i dont deserve to be treated like that/this" i dont know about anyone else but i liked him a whole lot more when he was cussen out vince and stunning anyone who got in his way.

I guess I am going against the majority here and I will say I actually like SC as a heel.

First of all, I personally never like him as a face. Whe he feuded with Bret Hart, and with the Rock for the IC title when Rocky was still in the Nation. I loved his attitude, that DTA attitude was the best.

As a face I thought he sucked, his character was never meant to be cheered for, he was suppose to be a scumbag that will do what it takes to win. Everytime he talked about "respecting" others it made me sick. Finnally he is back to the way he should be, only caring about himself and doing what it takes to win.

I have always felt as if Austin, Rocky and Jericho all were beter as Heels rather than Faces (but I am biased I like heels more than I like faces right now Angle, E&C, and HHH are my favorite wrestlers) but someone has to be the good guy, I say let these guys do whatever they do best in the ring, and let the fans cheer for who they want to.

(I also want the Duddly to be heels again, and I want at least one of the Hardys to be a heel I guess I want everyone as a heel.)

I really didn't defend Austin fully in my last post, but after last nights Smackdown I feel like I have too.

I truly think he is working harder than he has ever, I think he is over as a heel, and I think he is playing up his gimmick great.

Every week people are hating him more and more, he has been performing great in the ring, and when HHH come back as a babyface, and the Rock returns, you are going to have some great matches.

I agree with Tom Poo. I like what they're doing with him.
Before the turn, he would do anything to get back the belt, even selling out to Vince. Now he's paranoid and will do anything to keep it. It adds another side to him that the character needed.
And the bottom line ( no pun intended) is that people are booing him, which was what they wanted.

I hate to rvive this thread but, Austin is showing me more and more that he is the best damn heel in the business.

Last night, smackdown, did you hear the heat from the crowd after he beat the piss out of Michael Cole. Not to mention the funny ass segments with Vince.

Austin 3:16 says Best Damn heel ever!!!!
