here in the DC area their is a radio station, 99.1 WHFS, its one of those alternative rock stations that plays the same 7 songs all day and each year they have a concert called the HFStival, they have a bunch of bands play like new found glory and system of a downand all that crap and it seems to be a pretty popular event. I dont go cause i dont like the bands that play but "the Ron and Feztival" i would definitly go. if i lived in new york.

I'm not saying ALL metal is bad, just that EVERY time ANY radio show does some kind of battle of the bands, the majority that come out are bad metal bands who play metal badly. Not all, but most of them...

TheMojoPin, you are correct. There are a lot of BAD metal acts out there. Just like any other type of music though, if you ask me.

But it does seem that when you start one of these contests, every garage musician that ever heard Metallica and picked up a guitar gets on them. But hopefully, the voting will be fair, and people will elect the 5 best bands to battle.

And I hope that my band Unhallowed can get the votes, because in my personal opinion, we're good, and different. But of course I'd think that, or I wouldn't play in the band.

Good luck to all bands though. If I'm not selected, I can take it.
