Hey Hordeking, Im 16, and work in retail. (Kb Toys) Im on Dexidrine which is a ADD/ADHD drug and it has also stunted my appetite. Im getting around 3 hours of sleep one day, and 12 the next and always seem to be angry. During the school year, I got about 4 hours of sleep and felt fine each morning. Is my anger "problem" caused because of lack of sleep? work enviroment? or just not eating as much as i used to? Thanx buddy.

DCREED - I'll assume that you're under the care of an internest who is monitoring your blood levels. If not you need a checkup.
Not eating enough can have detrimental effects on your whole body, but the caveat to that is even if you're not eating as much as you did, it doesn't necessarily mean that you're not eating enough. You'd be better able to judge this yourself, but given that your appetitie is changed, you should see your doctor about this.
In general, anytime there is a change in your normal routine, it's a good idea to see your doctor.
I'm not familiar with the medication you're taking so I did a bit of reasearch on it.
The most common side efffects are nausea, diarrhea, loss of appetite, DIFFICULTY SLEEPING and WEIGHT LOSS.
Rare side effects include stomachaches, headaches, drowsiness, dizziness, MOOD CHANGES, lack of coordination, tics / unusual movements, IRRITABILITY, nervousness, skin rash, hives, blurred vision, sexual problems, or paranoia.
It is considered essential to quickly see a doctor for weight loss (which you may have considering you're eating less) mood changes (which might be manifested by your anger), and irritability (which may also be causing anger)
See your doc DC prefereably the doc who prescribed it in the first place. If this particular med is giving you problems there are others used to treat ADD and ADHD which may not give you the same side effect.
It's well known that medications that act as depressants in chldren like ritalin and dexadrine (they're in the same class) act as stimulants in adults.
I wonder if your age (16) is causing some weird symptoms not previously experienced, b/c the chemical action of the drug in your body may be changing. Please discuss this with your doctor.
