I went on my first upside-down roller coaster

I took 22 years to do it, but on Sunday, it finally happened. I went to Great Adventure with a mission. No more sitting on a bench and watching other people do it. It was called The Great American Scream Machine. I actually started to hyperventilate before the ride even started. And, as the coaster began going up the first incline, I had to tell myself that thousands, probably millions of people have done this, and had not died. I kept my eyes closed 99% of the time, and that seemed to help. Once the ride was over, I felt very proud of myself. I conquered one of my biggest fears. Next on the agenda: SKYDIVING!!

congradulations. i live for roller coasters. the first upsidedown coaster i ever went on was the Super Dooper Looper in Hershey Park PA. i think ive ridden 47 different roller coasters. i used to have a list somewhere but its gone. The best one is the Millenium Force in Cedar Point Ohio. i've been there 3 times in the past 4 years. It doesnt have any loops or go upsidedown, but it has a 300 foot drop. man i love roller coasters.

I used to LOVE roller coasters.. but I didn't go in one for a few years, till last week. And I was convinced that I was going to die :)

I went in a rollercoaster called: "Rock 'n' Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith"
So that means non-stop music and screaming of Steven Tyler.. jeez..

Roller Coasters are the best! A friend of mine brought in a book that listed the top 20 or so roller coasters in America. There was one that went under water that I would love to go on. I gotta get to GA this year. Haven't been there in a few.

pinkyfloyd, my first one was the Medusa at Great Adventure and it was a wild, but still horrifying, experience. I will never go on another roller coaster again, but at least I can say that i finally did it. Way to go!

Nice. I love scream Machiene. I haven't gone on Madusa yet, but that is supposed to be like the scariest rollarcoaster. It goes upside down I think 7 times.

Medusa is that that bad. i think the worst one ive been on so far is deuling dragons in Universal's Islands of Adventure. i was in the front row and if you dont know that the other train comes extremely close to you, then you freak out. i was so fuckin scared we were gonna hit its not even funny.
