I couldn't catch the whole show today but I thought I heard the boys talking about a move to mornings. Did I hear this right, or is this a swerve?

Nope. Ferrall was on R&F this morning complaining about drinking all night and waking up early. He said R&F should switch with him so he could work nights and wake up late. Naturally, our buddies just ran with it. <P>

It seemed rather sudden, thanks for the clarification. It just had me thinking that there would soon be a classification lower than a mid-day caller.

Heres the thing...I love R&F,
however, there is no way they
can beat Stern. nobody has been
able to. I understand his ratings
fell in NY, but he now #1 again in
NY. That show is getting funnier
by the day.
R&F should stay where they are
and build their fan base at
nights.

I have it from a reputable source that they're joking. Of course, my source is Sheepy, so maybe it's not all that reputable.

Actually I still don't know if they were playing. Ferrall was actually contemplating the move.
Why doesn't he just do overnights like he did on WFAN?

Yeah, Steve Dahl has been on forever. He is on 105.9 WCKG in Chicago. I guess he is similar to Neil Rogers (WQAM, Miami). Have you have heard The Monsters. They are pretty unique! <P>

Why not put R&F back on overnights? I really miss the dot-com days. I don't know how many people agree with me, but I thought some of their better stuff was done while interviewing people from websites. They were a lot better when they were a freakshow about websites and psychos in the middle of the night.

Yeah, that's what RnF want to do.. move to the prestigious overnight slot where one's not even rated. That's where the big bucks are. And quit pushing this obscure Monsters of the Midday stuff on us.

I agree about overnights, that would be a step backwards. Doesn't make sense. As for The Monsters, no one is pushing them on you. I am just making a suggestion. They are a lot better than any other show I could think of (Steve Dahl, Neil Rogers, Tom Leykis, ect....). Weren't Ron and Fez "obscure" before the came to WNEW? They were on a small station in Daytona Beach, for crying out loud. Give the Monsters a chance! Would R&F be touting them if they weren't funny? What' in it from them. Nothing!

They did their best stuff doing overnights. It's also their best chance at syndication. I think they should try to get more guests on the show. I'm not asking for big, famous guests, but they wouldn't have a problem finding a local comic or a band to interview.

Listen, if they come to WNEW, then I'll give them the same chance I gave Douch and Dike. But I'd rather hear that show Ron and Fez breifly talked about last week.
They said WNEW offered them the hosting job of a midday music show. I'd like that! They could spin tunes, and make fun of them at the same time!
