if ur satisfied w/ being single, then be single and happy
messing around is cool if u can handle it, and not get emotions involved
being with someone is probably most ideal. especially when its being with someone with no expectations... where u can just sit and cuddle and know that it doesn't have to lead to anything...
...sorry, im just enjoying being w/ someone now :P

The older you get the more you realize you want to be with just one person.
I'm older (35)-- i "sowed my wild oats" in my 20s. If nothing else, it made me realize I'm a "one-man-sorta-gal."

well i would probably consider being single and messing around the same thing. because until you are committed to someone you can do whatever the hell you want.
messing around is fun for awhile and it usually makes for some good stories (and experience), but there is nothing better than looking the person you love deep in their eyes right before you kiss. of course being with someone- as long as you like/love each other- is the best! :)

frankly i was thinking about this tonight....as i get older- i am 21- i think that maybe its better to just hook up with people instead of focusing energy on fing a boyfriend or girlfriend...maybe some people are just not meant to be in relationships...i was looking over myself and i am starting to realize maybe im not ready or i am just not dating/ girlfriend material- i am not putting myself down or anything by this statement i am just looking at it from a logical POINT OF VIEW...YIKES!!!!...LOL
I am a goofball & swell to boot

For teenagers, it's a no win situation. If your single, you want a boyfriend/girlfriend, if you are with someone you want to be single. As you mature though, you start to realise that all you really want is one person you can find happiness with and that where I am at. I'm 22 and i've done my fooling around and to be honest I'm tired of playing the game. All I want is one person I can enjoy life with.
Live and let live.

I'm 23 and have had too many relationships in my day. It seems to me that I have always had a girlfeind since I was 16 years old. I'm now single and I'm happier then I've ever been. I think messing around for girls is much more difficult. I always do the right thing by telling them from the start what the deal is.

Whats better? I dunno.....Ive went from being single...to messing around with someone....now from the messing around with that someone I want to be with that someone. I got to know this female well and have grown quite fond of her and like being around her. If you can not let your emotions get in the way of the messing around part....Im all for it. Then again Im old....and my love life is screwy....who am I to talk :P

42nd-delay

It's funny, I was talking to a man of an earlier generation today, and he commented on how back in his day and before, people would date a lot more and not really become a couple unless they were really serious. It was the norm for a girl to have dates with different men every weekend, and to be seeing a few different guys at once. Of course, in those days, sexual mores were different and people didn't have the same kind of casual sexual relationships that are common today. So it's not like these women were getting banged by three guys every weekend. The real point here is that people weren't so quick to pair off.
I'm not sure if that's anything more than an aside in this discussion, but I felt I'd share anyway.
