I'm listening to the replay of last Monday night's show again (it was replayed last night as well). Early in the show, they are doing the "New York's .est" bit.

Someone calls in with "Don and Mike, New York's unemployest". Last night it was played in full, unaldultered. Ron said something like "that's not nice, we're going in the wrong direction". Tonight, they play the beginning, up to "Don and Mike" and then....nothing.

Random tape error or purposeful attempt to go easy on the local boys? You make the call...

Of Course it's an Edit. I remember once Opie and Anthony were being dumped in DC when the feud was fresh, and they were dissing Don and Mike.

Either one of them did it, or they have the station look for anti- Don and Mike stuff, cause they can't handle the heat.

Actually, Don and Mike were getting dumped whenever they brought up O&A after management smacked them around, so it wasn't just )&A that were getting dumped over that whole issue...pussies all around, I say...

It's pretty well documented (at least on this site) that WJFK routinely edits or flat-out fucks with R&F's tape-delay broadcasts.

I can't even get into the Don & Mike stuff.

But one example is from MONTHS ago. R&F did some bit where they made fun of the Washington Redskins. WJFK, being the Redskins station, dumped out the ENTIRE bit, some 20 or 30 minutes of radio.

So yeah, Ron & Fez get edited at will by JFK.

Who DOESN'T hate the Redskins?!? Even people here in D.C. and VA either hate them or just don't give a shit...all the yuppies and politikos buy up all the tickets just to show up with your buddies and spend the whole game on the cell phone...

I am going on the edge
here...but I really liked D&M. I
thought they were funny.
I know alot of people on the
board trashed them since they
said R&F kissed O&A ass. I heard
the show...and yes they did say
that. They also said, for some
reason left off the complaints
about D&M, that they liked R&F
and they think they are funny.
They also recently said some
other positive things about R&F.
So in closing, before you trash
them...know what happened not
just what O&A said.
D&M were always honest with
the listeners...I don't think O&A
are.

Well, I'm the opposite, I don't like D&M that much anymore, but I still hear them since the radio at work is almost always on WJFK...they've been upfront about just totally sucking hard ratings-wise in NY, and (Management-ordered or not) they've not talked about O&A and dumped any callers that do...and they have actually droped a few kind words about R&F...and every so often I'll still crack a smile...the "Mike Tyson calling sex lines" bit that was replayed a few weeks ago was hilarious...

can i just say how much WJFK sucks ass? the signal is weak, and they insist on carrying the "sports junkees" instead of airing ron and fez live so i can never call in or participate...

The Junkies have a hilarious show. Granted, I'd rather have R&F live, but as long as the Junkies are the only decent DC show going, it's cool if they stay where they are. That way we still get both...and if you're so desperate to hear R&F live, just search around for a live feed. Them thangs is EVERYWHERE...
