Just got it....and let me say...BEST ALBUM THEY'VE DONE SINCE BLOOD SUGAR SEX MAGIK. It is diverse and full of great music. I suggest if you even remotely like them, go out and get this album...it gets 5 out of 5 from me. I can tell they really worked their asses off on this one. NICE JOB FELLAS!

well.. i havent heard most of the new stuff yet, but i'm skeptical based on what i've heard so far. won't make a judgement yet, though. i just havent really liked anythign from them since blood sugar sex magik. i think that and freaky styley are both amazing albums, but other than that... eh. i used to be a big chili peppers fan but, i gotta say, they've sort of lost me...

Tottally agree , this abum is spectacular. When i heard By the Way for the first time I forgot how great those guys really are.

meh...the biggest mistake they made was when they put navarro in the group...what an awful album that was..yikes....

Anyone else hate dave navarro as much as i do?

I hate the chili peppers.Enough already with their "wacky antics". Flea is such an annoying twat.Their music is for jocks and frat boys.Screw them.

Love the Peppers...but I think the new song is weak..Dave Navarro was great in Jane's, but was a bad fit with RHCP...And they put on some of the best live shows. <P>

I agree that the Dave Navarro era was a big mistake for the band, but I gave them another chance. They are some of the most brilliant musicians in rock today and continue to put out albums that are relevant and musically deep.
Not only is this new Album a great album but it has moved in another direction once again...Which in rock today is an extremely difficult thing to do.
This album marks another great era of RHCP history.
They are, and forever will be my favorite band.
