I am watching the special he's doing on HBO in the hopes he MIGHT be funny.
It's an hour and 25 minutes later and I have yet to even chuckle. What's really pissing me off is that this shite pre-empted "The Wire" which is an awesome show.

Skidmark, I totally agree with you. He is just not funny anymore. I put him in the same category as others who should just hang it up...
1. Billy Crystal
2. Whoopi Goldberg

It's not raining - I'm spitting on you!
I chuckled a couple of times, but he's lost it. I mean, he's doing the old "tattoo gets stretched out when you get old" joke and the "biathlon doesn't make any sense" bit. bbbrng! brrrng! Hello? Yes, this is 1993.. we want our jokes back.

I used to find Robin hilarious, so my opinion is biased in his favor. But I just didn't laugh once. I watched about 20 min, then left it on in the background while I was working on some stuff aorund the room. It was just painful to listen to.

for anyone who was waiting to see the drugged up robin williams of the past, shouldve been disappointed. but those days are behind him, i dont think it was that bad.
gone postal!

I've never found him funny, even back in the "Mork From Ork" days. I mean, an entire act based on manic movements and a silly voice? It's just not for me.

Well that really makes me feel dumb for not finding him funny.

He was alright, but he could have been funnier. He did jokes about airports. COMON! those are old, they woulda been good 3 months ago when we cared. Although Death to Smoochy was good.
Williams has gone from the insane kid on ritalin to the guy who stars in dramatic movies. Hes got some stalker movie coming up, where he takes snapshots of a family.
Basically, his comedy career is dying, and its sad.

in general, yes, he does. but i did think he was excellent in insomnia, and also in dead poet's society back in the day. it seems to me that he's much better when he stops trying to be funny. i guess that's a pretty sad state if you're a commedian...

He definitely had his moments but I couldn't shake the excessive use of "fuck" in his schtick and that technicolor shirt he wore that changed colors over the night! I need some water...
It wan't that bad.

i dont think he is funny at all even though i did want to see death to smoochy .
but all he does is tell a stupid joke and put on a "funny" voice and a stupid facial expression and dance around the stage like a retard.

Robin Williams used to be hysterical. But he hasn't been funny in years.
The HBO special was fair at best, but most of the routines were not topical and were not particularly funny.
Still, he was great as the voice of the genie in Aladin.
