I don't know if it was better, but it certainly was different. The .com promos were the F'n best though

Nah, I like the new spot better. They're a bit more organized. At least 25% of the .com show was awkward silences.

i couldnt stay up to listen to the whole show. I like the new slot but would love to have them on from 7pm - 11pm so i could play the interactive Ron and Fez game

ALthough some people criticize the fact that alot of listeners to the .com show were teens, I think that was great. Now at mid days most of those listeners are in school trying to sneek a walkman in the back of the class. I literally have blood shot eyes because i go to school during the day and stay awake to listen to the replay in the mornings. My only sleep is during the sports guys and any repeats of love line. But whether it's one person or 100 that don't like the slot...there are enough other people that do. Personally the perfect spot is 7-11...but then what happens to don and mike? I don't really listen to them but i'm sure they'll be a revolt if Ron and Fez were to take their slot.

.com was better .
Tasteless Jenny on her worst night is
better than Al"walking coma"Dukes
and the dopey Dumpy.I really think
Al Dukes is a plant by Jeremy
Coleman to sabotage the show!

...No, Tasteless Ginny and
Webby are not one-in-the-same.
Ginny, I believe still works
overnights an WNEW and usually
is around for the early part
of the Sports Guys show, but
no longer has anything to do
w/ R&F...in fact, I believe
it's been mentioned on here
before that R&F and Ginny have
heat.

Whether or not Webby still has
anything to do w/ them or
their web site...I have no
idea, but their own site is
updated way too infrequently.

What show was better? By far
I think .com was. Maybe it
was a little immature, a
little sillier and slightly
less organized (segment wise),
but that's what made it so
much fun.
Don't get me
wrong, R&F in midday is still
great, but too many of the
callers just aren't fun. The
unorganized silliness of .com
is what made it different that
other shows.

Maybe the majority of people
like midday better...it's
certainly gotta be easier for
R&F. But I'm selfish, and
personally, I liked my old
R&F.com. It?s hard to say
what exactly made it better,
but a lot of the topics and
stuff now, are too much like
other shows. R&F do it
better, but there doesn?t seem
to be a special niche that
they?ve carved out for
themselves in midday, like
they had in late
nights.

Oh well. I
still love to show...The old
school memories will always be
the coolest though.

Grim

BTW- I love the show, but it
really dragged yesterday. I'm
probably in the minority, but
I miss Dumpy already. And,
it's just another connection
to the old days lost. Like
him or hate him, he gave us
some great radio, much of it
unintentionally, but
never-the-less, fun.

Surely if there is really heat, she wouldn't be working there any more. It's not like she hosts a show or anything. Sounds like she was an important part of the show though. Shouldn't she still be there, or at least helping out?

"At least 25% of the .com show was awkward silences."

What was up with that?????

I know it still happens now, but when they were .com it happened all the time. Everything would just stop just long enough for me to check my radio to see if it was still on.

Did they do that intentionally???

I kinda liked the awkward silence - it was funny :) The topics during the day are different and I thought the .com show was funnier and sillier. The callers are totally different too, anyone who listened to the night show can attest to that. Last i heard, Ginny was working the overnights still. I do agree with their new website sucking tho - they used to update it everynight with info on the show.

the midnight shows were classic. they always seem to pull off an "intimate" setting. didnt catch too much of the mid-days. and the late nite regulars rock. jo pooh? c'mon, pure genius.

till the next line~

This is an old thread and yes Clare, if you still read the board, I agree that .com was better. It had the perfect feel for insomniacs. .Com also had better topics. While midday had more 'professional' topics, .com had topics which were so weird and out there that it made it perfect for the brain shutting down/stoner crowd.

And the web polls were the best. You had the half asleep audience calling saying their favorite commercial, favorite Chstimas special character, etc.

And Perry I can definitely understand the intimate part of it. Maybe it's because you were up late but you sort of felt it being more personal.

they haven't been on 7-11 long enough to make an accurate assessment of the show yet. however it pisses me off that their BEST OFs are only 2 hr 45 minutes Saturdays when everyone else gets 4.

The .com promos were the funniest things I ever heard. I remember Ron calling Fez a csucker in one of them. And the show was funny because of it's dis-organized matter. And I enjoyed listening to Joe Poo and the Jobbers. When they moved to mid-days they lost their momentum and it just wasn't the same anymore. There new 7-11 time slot I think is the best for them. They are becoming funnier again, like in their old .com days. But D&M in mid-days? AWFUL!
