Remember going to midnight movies on Friday and Saturday night. What was your first, favorite, or the worst midnight movie you have seen.

I was a big Zeppelin fan and we would go see the "The song remains the same" everyone was loaded. I remember the guy in front of us had a fifth of bacardi and drinking rum and cokes.

Do they still have midnight movies?

All of the rock films were cool. I liked the strange films like:
"Basket Case"
"Eraserhead"
"Driller Killer"
"Pink Flamingos"
"Frankenhooker"
I never liked "Rocky Horror".

I was usually passed out by the time the midnight show started, but I think I liked Andy Warhol's Frankenstien. I remember very little of it though. Reefer Madness was ridiculous, even though I saw it a few times. I know there were others, I just can't think of them.

The only time I have a drinking problem is when I don't have a drink

Dont forget Heavy Metal and Death Race 2000 with a young David Carradine playing Frankenstein and Stallone in his best role since Lords of Flatbush....

BTW anyone else in here remember hearing KungFu's (Kane will help you) on the early days of R&F.com Of course his site was less entertaining then Chuck Norris's.

There was nothing cooler than "Night Of The Living Dead" in a theater packed with teens supplied with booze, beer and dope. Same goes for midnight screenings of "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre". What a party! LOL

I remember my brother and his girlfriend(now wife) went to go see Night of the Living Dead and Texas as a late night double feature. It was great. She stayed at our house she was scared and did not want to stay home alone.

I went to see "Rocky Horror" once, at the 8th Street Playhouse. I was with a girl who was into it, she had her bag of props, and I think I just slept. The movie always gave me the creeps, maybe it's a "Barry Bostwick" thing.;)

there's one theater near me on 2nd that plays RHPS like every Friday and Saturday.

Unfortunately I can't find more and more movies like that. I'd love to see a midnight showing of Eraserhead (i love that movie) or TCM or Night of Living Dead.

I would really love to see "Eraserhead" again on a big screen.
Same with all of the John Waters stuff.

Back in the 80's, my friends and I caught a Midnight screening of "The Exorcist" in a theater in Times Square. We were the only white people in the place.
People were screaming at the screen, playing radios, fighting and throwing bottles at the screen.
Yes, "white people are scared of black people", especially in a dark theater.

i've been to movies that started late, but don't think that i've been to a movie that started at midnight. a couple of years back i was suppose to go to a opening night movie (x-men, i think??) but my plane was late and we didn't make it. does this make me pathetic?

The Evil Dead movies are my favorite cult films just because Bruce Campbell is one of the coolest celebrities I've ever met. Night of the Living Dead and the rest of the Romero flics never did anything for me.
Rocky Horror will always be my favorite, in that I am still performing and co-director of my cast out in NJ.
**shameless plug**Come check out The Home of Happiness in Montclair, NJ every Saturday @ Midnight.
