Ron and Fez have done the 10am - 2 pm shift here in NYC live.

I guess JFK is too lazy to actually take THAT show and play it. I guess it's easier to just play the 7pm - 11 pm show.

JFK is airing some really old reruns. Back from the "Dumpy Era" I hear no Al Dukes, joe Poo, Billy Staples, Rory, Hawk. Its almost like a different show. Tonight they were airing the "Spanking Society of NY" episode. I turned JFK on during the 7-11 slot and I heard the Junkies. What gives?? I was hoping to hear my band played on the air as part of the Ron & Festival promotion, and all we are getting are old reruns.

dude i'm up in jersey and WJFK is totally F'n you guys. From what i heard, because i was sleeping, Today they were live at the 10 - 2 time spot. And since they aren't doing Two A Days anymore, the 7-11 show had to be a repeat. WJFK should get off their asses and actually care about its talent. Better yet, get all the Ron and Fezzers in the WJFK listening area, and do a strike thing in front of their building. Because i know how fed up you guys must be. The ones on the board are usually complaining about how WJFK f's you guys on a daily basis. so boycott the station or whatever and have them play the new stuff and not the reruns.

Its mostly because WJFK pays very little money for the R&F show instead devoting its money to Stern, D&M,O&A and the Redskins (who they paid alot of money for to get the live radio broadcast rights). So they only play what is sent from WNEW for the 7-11 slot. Unfortunate yes, but think of it this way D.C. fans, we get to here shows from before R&F were on here in D.C. so its a win win situation, sit back and let the good times roll.

No it sucks!!! I'm out of sync with everyone on the message board. I was getting into whole "rock and ribs thing" and now we've been "cut off" so to speak. Ron and fez are great, but I hate listening to "Best Of". My band are number 113 on the list of contestants, and now I have no idea whats going on or anything. I'll have no idea how the voting will go or anything. I wont even be able to hear my band if they play it live, like they do some of the other bands.

When I worked in TV, we did satellite turn-arounds from time to time. We set up the feed, make sure there's a signal, and go sit down and glance up every now and then. WJFK's techs may not know that R&F are live 10-2 and doing "best-ofs" at 7-11. Then again, they may not have the equipment necessary to record the show from 10-2, as it might be in use by another show/recording at that time.

Believe me, many companies short-change their engineers on the equipment they need, then complain when they can't do certain things with what they're given. I'd say call up the station and ask them why they're not playing the live show.

someone else filled you in - they've been doing a best of at 10, and a new show at 7 (the one jfk gets) but the other day they swapped for some reason, and the 7pm show was REEEAL old - how old? Ron and Fez .COM was mentioned. I'm glad they let them swap that 1 day, but It's sometimes hard to tell when they're live or not in NY, so I can imagine how the DC listeners feel. If I havent heard it already, it's like a game to figure out based on attendance and context wether they're live or memorex

Alright, just to clear things up, we got the same repeats here in DC that they were getting in NY. WNEW sends us whatever is broadcasted in the 7-11 PM slot, and rightly so...a midday show sounds like ass late at night. They've just been doing the earlier shift apparently because of the station events happening in the evening.

I Think I figured it out.

When Ron and Fez do a 11am-3pm show, JFK airs a "best-of" that night. When they do a live show 7pm-11pm, JFK airs it. So Guess we'll now we'll get current shows on the nights they do their normal 7-11 slot.

Last night kicked ass with Wild thing getting wasted, and vomiting. You cant do a nice shotof Jack immediatly after doing a Beer Power hour. The bodys gag reflex kicks in and well...... You gotta wait a few minutes.

So let me get this straight. Wild thing will be "doing" swiss miss in studio next tuesday?? If that actually happens, Ron and Fez will bethe greatest Radio show ever.

Ps. to the guy whio asked us where we play live. Go to our website, and it'll show where we are playing. We are always looking for new places to play, as some of them are pretty crummy.

Now that WNEW is doing good, Infinity is focusing on its top markets. Were market 7. Where in the top ten for christs sake.

Don Geronimo (of D+M) was program director at WJFK, and I think still helps with it. So he could be keeping R+F down, but thats just pointing fingers.

I think that WJFK should just do some experimenting, to help bring in an audience for O+A, and one could be Sports junkies on middays, with R+F at night.

Think of the lead in for Junkies from stern, then from junkies to O+A, and hopefully O+A could provide a lead in for R+F.

I heard don and mike discussing this same issue a few months back. Don was complaining because he wasnt getting props since the ratings were higher when he was PD. Some guy called in a acused them of keeping R&F down. Dons responce was that he actually was pushing for them. There are some times at night where you can hear a 'bumper' for R&F that he actually put intio rotation. Granted there could be more mention of it. Don also said that he was a big fan of the R&F show, and liked it, but it was upper management holding it back. I dont know how much of it is true, but I remeber them talking about R&F back in the old R&F.com days, and they said it was a great show. I think D&M like R&F more than the O&A show. But then i also heard D&M praising O&A and look what happened with that. <P> <P>

Calm down, Cozmo...the Junkies are cleaning up in the ratings, and with it looking more likely that D&M will bail and take their ratings with them, the station wisely doesn't want to fuck things up with the Junkies. And if the Junkies are lost, well, no more WJFK in this talk format, and thusly no more R&F. Keep calm, the replays are still cool, find an internet feed, and settle down. Besides, The Junkies have the second best show on the station...give 'em a chance...
