Any man who starts a thread like this is a great man.
I'd have to say either Timmy or Mr. B Natural. Or Torgo.

Why, TV''s Frank, of course!
I had a friend who had the hots for Gypsy. What a freak.

Did they know that, behind it all, Gypsy was really a man? And a doughy, chunkheaded man at that?

Mary Jo Pehl?
Now that's just plain mean.
Her head was more pudgily spherical than chunky.

I agree, TV's Frank was the man.
One of my proudest moments was when Joel Hodgson bummed a cigarette from me at the old Village Gate down on Bleeker Street. He was a geniunely nice guy.

The next question is who was better Joel or Mike? I liked Mike, I felt the show was a lot better when he took the reigns...although two classsics occured with Joel. Godzilla vs. Megalon and Manos: the hands of fate...

Another good one I have is Danger Death Ray. I recorded them when they used to be on Comedy Central, and still have them. Another great one was where people were being forced to lewave the Bronx...God i have to find that one in my collection it was classic.

Ah, I forgot about Torgo, from Manos, The Hands of Fate. I loved it when they had mike as Torgo delivering pizza. "Here's your cheezy bread" as he reached in his pants.
Too good.

Comparing Mike and Joel is like comparing Letterman and Carson...sure, they're in the same line of business, but they're two completely different acts. They're both excellent...
Joel was the innovator, but the show really, really expanded with Mike at the helm...sure, it wasn't that great sometimes (you've got to break a few eggs...) but most of the time it was really compelling (I LOVED the planet-hopping, the nannites, etc.)
Plus Mike had his own great episodes...Space Mutiny, Revenge of the Creature, and correct me if I'm mistaken...wasn't Alien from L.A. Mike?

I like Tom Servo.
I recently watched one (Saturdays at 9am on Sci-fi) that had Joel and Mike. May have been the last episode.
On the last one Mike, Servo and Crow all made it back to earth and it ended with them sitting on their couch watching bad movies. Classic!

To me, it was never the same after Joel left. I really liked his episodes. Notice how he worked a Wizard of Oz reference into every episode?
Crow was pretty cool too.

How any of you could choose Mike over Joel, I will never know.
I'd have to say either Timmy or Mr. B Natural. Or Torgo.
Mr. B Natural - best short ever.
And "Manos: The Hands of Fate" is damn near perfect.
