i'm a huge fan, and have heard the same

i mean, the show is still good and stuff, but there's only so many things they can make funny without them losing their touch... i wouldn't be surprised if they are off the air in the next season or so

hi angel.
they always say it might be but they keep going. i know the majority of people think the show has run it's course, but i NEVER get tired of new simpsons. a bad new simpsons is better than 95% of the stuff on t.v.

i refuse to jump on the anit-simpson bandwagon, i love it and hope it never ends. but to answer your question i doubt this is the last season.

Simpsons To Live Long

The Simpsons creator Matt Groening is reassuring fans of the yellow family that the hit show won't be ending anytime soon. It was reported earlier this week that the animator was considering finishing the comedy because he was running out of funny storylines. Wednesday Groening explained, "I was misquoted and misunderstood. I don't want anyone to think I am predicting the demise of the Simpsons. They will live on with new adventures for years to come. As long as there are things to make fun of we will be around." The cartoonist went on to explain what he meant by the comments that fuelled the speculation. Groening continues, "I am always asked how much longer can this go on. I just said that given the fact the we just finished our 300th episode, I would guess we are closer to the end of our life than the beginning. At the end of our 100th episode (one of our writers) said we were halfway home. Now we think the show will last, our ratings are better than ever."

There are so many BAD channels, that there should be a Simpsons Television Network!

There could be, of course, Re-runs, Specials, interviews with the cast and others involved with the show, and I guess Matt could throw on that SHITTY futurerama thing too, if he HAS to.

Christ.

And anyone who hates the Simpsons probably had thier Uncle knucle deep in them as a child, and the abuse keeps them from being able to appreciate it.
