Mine has got to be "Much Ado About Nothing"....Emma Thompson and Kenneth Brannagh seem so natural in those roles. And it was hilarious by the way and packed with stars like Denzel Washington, Michael Keaton and Keanu Reeves *cough* he actually wasn't bad.
I recommend it to everyone, it took me at least 2 veiwings to understand half of it, but it is worth it! What's your favorite?

I am a goofball & swell to boot
In high school we watched the Franco Zefferelli version of "Romeo and Juliet". Seeing Olivia Hussey topless really helped me appreciate the beauty of Shakespeare.

All time favorite, the cursed one. MacBeth...event though it was made by that pedo, Roman Polanski, the movie is a great version. Lots of banging and death...classic Shakesphere. And what happens to Pulanski and Tate in real life lives to the cursed aspect of the play...

I liked 'Mucha Ado about Nothing' but I think my favorite has to be Kenneth Branagh's 'Hamlet', updated to the late 19th early 20th century European Court.

Defintely Much Ado About Nothing. Also liked Richard III w/ Ian MCKellen, and Kenneth Branagh was a great Iago in Othello.

aggie come on the only reason he was good was because he had all of 20 lines and denzel kiked ass in it!!!!
but my favorite shakespeare the new version of a midsummer nights dream was amazing and accurate
another great one was Kenneth branagh making a musical of Love's Labour's Lost
but my favorite was Twefth Night even though Kenneth Branagh wasnt in it.
and DiCaprio in Romeo and Juliet was a pece of shit!!!!!!

The Olivier version of Hamlet will always be tops in my book. The Gibson version is good, and the Brannagh version doesn't cut out a line, which is nice. I've never been a big fan of any version of Romeo and Juliet. A Midsummer Night's Dream with Kevin Kline is nice, he's always been one of my favorite actors.

You should post more often. The reef is calling, my friend.

Yes mel Gibson playing Hamlet was good, but the Brannagh was was damn good from the sets to the costumes, Brannagh seemed to over act in certain part but in my opinion is just as good as Gibson version of the same character. Brannagh was a hell of a lot better in Othello
