If I had to pick, I'd say the Simpsons. Given the first season or two sucked, it's been pretty consistently good with some highs and lows now and then.

If South Park lasted another 5-10 years, it could compete.

when it comes to the newer shows i still have to say South Park is putting out the funnier show. but overall it has to go to simpsons. But i feel after season 10 the simpsons have be going down.
