spin apparently has a very loose definition of "metal"

this sig is the masterpiece of the cheesy one
LABELS ARE FOR PRODUCTS, NOT PEOPLE!
And all I do is miss you and the way we used to be
All I do is keep the beat and bad company
All I do is kiss you through the bars of a rhyme

Half the albums here would qualify as hard rock, not metal.
"Appetite for Destruction" the number one METAL album? Great album but it's not metal.
BTW, Deep Purple's "In Rock" is heavier than "Machine Head".

That's the absolute truth. I don't know why people are so insistent on calling Led Zeppelin a metal act because they're not.
The fact that 'The Number of the Beast' and 'Blizzard of Ozz' are not in the Top 10 is a joke. An even bigger joke is that these albums were ranked below 'Follow the Leader', 'The Battle of Los Angeles', 'Look What The Cat Dragged In' and 'Pyromania'.

19 - motorhead - no remorse
This fucker should be higher. Some of the most lethal, high-voltage heavy metal ever.

This list is actually O.K. if you define metal VERY loosely. But the only best of lists that Poison, Bon Jovi, Ratt and Motley Crue belong on is for best hairspray consumer. Putting Kid Rock next to Spinal Tap was cool, since they're the same anyway.

Another BULLSHIT "hipster" list of albums that we should ignore. This reminds me of an old list of altime greatest albums some other bullshit mag put out, and Ron and Fez talked about. Lots of bad opinions.
FUck off, SPIN. I'd rather drink AIDS then pick up a copy of your mag.

Underneath her skin and jewelry,
hidden in her words and eyes
is a wall that's cold and ugly
and she's scared as hell.
Trembling at the thought of feeling.
Wide awake and keeping distance.
Nothing seems to penetrate her.
She's scared as hell.
I am frightened to.
Wide awake
and keeping distance from my soul.
I am scared like you.

33 - danzig - danzig II: lucifuge
I cannot believe Danzig was included in this list. Especially since this list seems to be all popular bands that most everyone knows......But Danzig III-"How The Gods Kill" is better than Danzig II
Tell them Johnny Wadd was here

Spin just doesn't get it - they take a whole bunch of POPULAR hard rock and even some just plain rock bands and then they list them by how good of a band they are - not how hard or metal they are. Theyre system is all wrong.
