Guns N Roses Appreaciation thread

I don't know if this has been started already but oh well. Guns N Roses might be the greatest and most talented rock bands ever. The came up with an original sound , original riffs, and all around original great music. Axel Rose has a great voice and Slash might be one of the greatest guitar players ever. Their music differs so much too - from november rain - a symponic slow almost ballad rock to Welcome to the Jungle a fast paced up and ready song. Guns N Roses ARE GREAT!

hells yeah!!!

guns n roses were (are?) a great band. i've always liked them since way back in the day... i was quite young when they first broke. i went to see them in 91, and the show was super excellent... i needed to go so badly, i made my father take me. i was only in the 8th grade. and they played rocket queen, which just rocked my little world

the music is great, and just as relevant today, in my opinion, as it was back when in came out. i would argue that appetite for destruction is one of the best albums ever... front to back it's just great.

axl might be one of the best showmen ever... amazing stage presence, that like snakey dance, the tight little shorts, everything.

i have been waiting (along with pretty much everyone else) for this new guns album to come out. so much hype, so much time. of course i'd be there in a second if it came out or if they ever played this area.

so, anyway, yay for gnr!!!

If there was one band out there, that I can never get enough of, its them. Guns and Roses will for ever be one of the greatest hard rock heavy metal bands out there!

I remember when they came out in 1986/87. It was refreshing to hear some no-bullshit rock being played as opposed to the glam metal crap that was big at the time.

the "screech" of axel's voice would be too much for me to take for a whole album or concert...
it was kind of like when BOSTON came out, that had that unique guitar sound but the feedback I got was that by the end of the concert you were aching for a different sound...

my fav Axel song was I believe at the 40th Anniversary for Atlantic Records(if I remember correctly) Axel sang with Tom Petty on Free Fallin, wish I taped it...
Sweet Child Of Mine, although it was overplayed is another fav...

I am not sure I will agree with being the greatest, but will at least say this for them...they went out on a high note, and I am not sure of another band that did that. Well at the risk of sounding Morbid, maybe Buddy Holly...But Guns n Roses are smart. I have heard Eddie Trunk say that the lead singer of Buck Cherry will work with all the original GNR members except Axl, and the band will be called CherryRose...We will just have to wait and see on this one
