Ok, I know this sounds cheesy as hell, but I'm going
on vacation soon and I wanted to drop a few
before I left. So I looked into this Hollywood 48 hour
diet, it claims to help you lose up to 10 lbs. in 2
days. Here's my question to you HK, how healthy
are these quick-fix diets and is there a good chance
I'll gain back the wait right after I stop this
diet??????

A buddy of mine lost considerable weight on the Atkins Diet. Had you considered that one?

HHH, you'll looses the weight allright, from you belly out of your ass! Long story short, when I was going into the NAVY, the recruters gave that to people who were slightly over the weight limit, like 5 poinds or so. Its bassically a laxitive, anyway you look at it. The guys I knew who took it, were on the toilet getting rid of those pounds

I think the thing with the quick fix diets is that you lose all water weight, like the 10lbs, no matter what kind of quick fix it is. I had a friend who was eating hot dogs and cabbage twice a day on some quick fix diet, she lost weight right away, but once she went back to eating normally, the weight came back on. There's no magic pill or elixir. It sounds dull but a balanced diet and exercise is the key.

I don't like pits, pits, pits, in my juice, juice, juice!

You don't need to lose any weight. You're perfect the way you are! :)

aG is basically right. it is a combination diuretic/laxative. It is unhealthy, and i do not recommend it AT ALL!!

if you are serious about losing weight the healthy way, email me (houndofulster13@yahoo.com) or my Nutrition Company (HealThyself113@aol.com)

Ok, before I got married, I did the Hollywood 48 hour diet. At least I TRIED. I survived Saturday, but by Sunday I was weak and dizzy. I didn't lose ten pounds (like 4). It's ALL a crock of shit!

A lot of those diet pills are also loaded with caffeine to stimulate metabolism. Not a very good idea for your heart.

not necessarily, coco. while the en vouge fat burner these days is ephedrine (a combination of ephedra and caffiene, often they add ginseng to the mix to increase the rush) there aare other way to burn fat. for example, before there was ephedrine, there was Ma huang, which is the natural form of Ephedra, just as effecftive a fat burner, but much safer. green tea and bladderwrack extract are also very effective appetite suppressants

AG, JAMESDIGGY and HIPPIE are right.

They're laxitives/diuretics, they're dangerous, and they're unhealthy. And as FUZZYBUTT pointed out, they don't work as advertised.
