I've been working at this place for a week and a half, and since I started, this hottie blonde there is just.. f'n amazing

well, bleached blonde hair, goatee, tall, strong, awesome voice, always sweet to me, etc.

and since i work in the office and he's usually out on calls, i dont see him for the 5-8 hours that i'm there

so, should i start giving him hints that i'd be interested? i've heard from the other guys there that he doesn't notice things like that. from what i know he doesn't have a gf, and he looks around 23-24ish.

agh! what should i do?

and has anyone dated coworkers, and is it good or bad?

I would say be very careful with this. Even though things may be going ok at first....things happen. If you guys should get sexually involved and he just mentions any stuff to a friend he has there, don't be surprised if the entire place knows about it. And if you should get into a fight, don't be surprised either if everyone knows about it. Also, it can be a very uncomfortable situation seeing a guy everyday that you broke up with.

I have actually heard of people leaving their jobs because of dating at work. There is an old saying "don't shit where you eat".

there are a few guys i work with that i wouldnt mind dating, but i have never had the guts to show interest

i think dating someone at work is the same thing as dating someone in school, you will see them no matter what and it might be weird but you have to learn to deal with it. so its not that bad to date a co worker

I would do it if you don't have to see him that often through out the day. Like, I would date someone in another department, but not someone I had to spend the majority of my hours with. But that's just me, I wouldn't handle it very well.

im probably the exception to this. i dated a guy i used to work with and it worked out great. we were together for 4 years, and worked together for about one year. he was part time, so we were only together a couple hours a day. but i really dont recommend it...everyone seems to know your business and look at you differently. and if it doesnt work out, it usually just creates more drama/problems. some companies also frown upon interoffice dating, so that's something else to consider.

I've decided what I'm gonna do.

Since I dig him so much, I'm just gonna keep it as is right now, me just sitting there drooling when he comes in bein all sweet and cute :)

And maybe one day I'll go to lunch w/ him or something ((not uncommon with the secretaries and techs))

Ive been workin at my job for bout the same amount of time and this one guy there is hitting on me and stuff and it i dont think of him in that way...well now every time i go to work..its uncomfortable and i try to advoid him...u should get to kno him 1st b4 u send hints that u like him...

Shelle - I agree with the majority of opinions expressed here.

Dating a person from work is very problematic. Even when you think you're being discreet everyone knows. If the relationship doesn't work, going to work becomes something really dreadful (or more dreadful depending on where you work).

As long as the two of you work for the same company I would strongly caution against dating him.

You see him a short time every day at work. At any time, your or his job responsibilities can change and you may spend more time with him. This could really end up causing you distress, if things don't work out.

Shelle SLOOOW DOWN, like you said just having lunch would be cool, that way it's just lunch,right!. Get to know him as a person frist, you never know he could be a great guy or a real dick. So I think just having lunch, or maybe a beer after work is the better way to go,cause then you get to know him better, and your not committing yourself.

But it's happened to me before and it was a very tense situation for a long time.

i've never really dated anyone i worked with, but i had a few minor trysts... and they were fine. but, i think that might have been because they werent at all serious.

my best friend met her now husband at work and things (obviously) turned out great for her.

but, i would heed everyone's warnings. if you get involved and then went badly, you'd have to deal with seeing this guy every day. it's hard enough without that
