Me first.

Our song, "Counter Girl" is an homage to the talents of the adorable Janeane Garofalo. The reluctant Gen X Spokeswoman inspires us all to be cynical and lazy, and we love her for it.

Our other song, "Waiting For The Palms"... is good too.

So vote for Digger Phelps, band #5.

ps Beer fixes everything.

Dreamship Recipe:

Start with 2 guys, one from NYC, one from Dallas.

Add 40 years of musical experience to each one.

Sprinkle liberally with influences from Yes, Pink Floyd, Zep, Hendrix, Beatles, Deep Purple, Boston, Genesis and ELP.

Add 2 cups of Classical music for taste, a bit of jazz for flavor, and a touch of madness to keep things interesting.

Baste with liberal amounts of pure emotion while turning up the volume.

Plug broadband cable directly into spinal cord, stir for a while, then cook til HOT.

Serve resulting intense progrock concept album with a sprig of something green.

My name is DEATH METAL MOE. Most of you already know me. Love or Hate.

The band I belong to is named UNHALLOWED. We are a Heavy band. We incoperate aspects of Death Metal, Grind, Groove, and Melodic Death.

I'm not sure of the number, but I think we're on page 16. In this contest full of Hard Rock, I understand that we are Underdogs, I just ask you give us an honest listen.

Check out Boss Jim Gettys - band number 145. We've been slagging it out for years with a few indie releases under our belt. Just looking to spread the word of rock. You'd probably enjoy our material if you are into Foo Fighters, Fugazi, Pixies, etc. We have a metal sweet tooth, though (guilty pleasure) as well as jazz. Karate Kid is straight up pop punk, whilst Caught is more of a jazzy surf inspired tune. One listener likened it to a James Bond-esqe theme...

Enjoy!

hating pretty much EVERYTHING on the radio i have worked very hard to write songs i would like to hear. we are a great mix of early 90's riff's and lyrics with an 80's metal lead guitar that completes our sound.

playing the hard rock would be the greatest thing ever, but just having people listen to our music kicks ass.

we are the answer to all of you who hate meaningless lyrics and generic sounding music, we've worked real hard at staying true to what we love.

with that, vote for Penny Fiasco, "Sweetest Breath" #277. well listen to it first and then vote. either way, we are the money.

Vote for Digger Phelps, because if you don't, you'll make monkey cry. And you don't want to make monkey cry do you?

Actually, I just would like to get people to hear our stuff, and I'm a big fan of the show and would love to be a part of this, and I'd really love the chance to play at the Hard Rock Cafe.

And of course if anyone wants to hear more than just the 2 songs in this contest, you can see and hear DIGGER PHELPS LIVE!!!! At Bello's in Sayreville, at the corner of Washington & Roosevelt, August 17th, 10PM! NO COVER!
