I know you can only vote for one song, but can you vote for the same song more than once? For instance, I vote for a song today, can I vote for the same song tomorrow?

Did the votes get "clobbered?" Earlier when I came to the site it said 600 people have voted. Now it's saying only 22 people voted. What gives? Did the counter roll-over at 1,000 votes or did it refresh after midnight? Are the old votes lost or should we all just chill the hell out and not worry?

Yes, the votes go toward the band, not the songs.

i do not have the luxury of listening to the entire broadcast so my question is this: is there a way for a band to find out if/when their songs were played and what ron and fez said about them? <P>

Good point. I don't have access to a radio during the broadcast. I wonder what has been played so far and how people have received? Did Ron & Fez & co. like what they heard or were they pooping on submissions?!?!?!

Can they play mp3's on the air or do they only play CD's?

How Long will the first round of voting last?

I have received numerous complaints (at least a dozen) from people trying to vote that they have not received a temporary password, or that the temporary password that does not work. Has anyone else in other bands gotten similiar feedback? Admins, have you gotten any complaints from people?

I asked those with problems to contact the site, since there is nothing I can do other than alert you to the fact.

D'oh! Well, I wouldn't call it crooked, but I would call it a victim of technology. I know the admins are working hard to keep things running smoothly. And to tell you the truth, if political elections are subject to problems and inconsistencies, which are supposedly heavily regulated, then I am not surprised at all that an internet ballot is having its fair share of snags. I'm sure they will keep this all in mind when tallying the votes and selecting bands. Besides, if I'm not mistaken they are also judging based on how much they like the material. I doubt they would allow 5 crappy bands who rigged the elections (not saying that's the case in any way, mind you) to play the show if other, less popular but talented acts would fit the bill.

That's just my guess, though. At any rate, good luck to all.

Double D'oh!

I found that if you use MS Internet Explorer as your browser, you can select a song to stream and it will prompt you to play it within the browser rather than using WinAmp or another 3rd party application. Allow IE to play the tune in another frame. Give it time to load...your web browser may look hung or crashed, but be patient and you'll hear music eventually.

Don't stream them using Netscape. Looks like the site was optimized for IE so you'll run into trouble using another browser.

Heya... I have two questions, one regarding the contest, and one regarding the admission to the Hard Rock. K, here goes:

1. Since this got brought to the last moment(and please don't take offense to this comment, none meant), and 300 + bands are entered, I am assuming there is no longer rounds. Right?!? Basically the admins/judges are gonna narrow down to vote tallys and choose 5 from there right? If I am wrong please lemme know.
2. I got an email saying I had to reply to it for a chance at a ticket to the Hard Rock. Any ideas when the announcement of the peeps that got chosen to go will be?

Jeff said "No." AFAIK the only results that will ever be released are the 5 finalists, then the "Grand Prize Weiner". We've gotten good support from our "fans" and some board members, so we're satisfied.

It'd be nice to play at the Hard Rock, though.
