**New Rule For Signatures. Please Read** [Archive]

Guys,

A new rule has been instituted concerning signatures: if you are going to include text in your signature it CAN NOT EXCEED THREE (3) LINES!

Some helpful info:
- What are the guidelines on signature pictures? How do I put one in my posts?
Signature pictures should be no larger than 300 x 100 pixels and 30 kb. If your signature is too large you will be asked by a moderator to shrink it, if you fail to do so, your status may be changed, or worse...

To put a signature picture in your posts:

First you must upload the image to a server. RonFez.net does not host pictures. The best thing to do is find a site the you can make a Free homepage and put it there. Some sites like AOL or Yahoo are good. Or just ask someone who has a sig pic. We are all friends here.

After Uploading the pic make note of the image's online URL

click the link to View/Edit your profile.

In the "signature" form, insert the following code: {IMG SRC="http://www.your-image's-URL"}, and insert your image's URL into the appropriate space. **Make sure to replace the {} with <>

NO FLASH SWF FILES CAN BE USED AS SIG PICS!

what i meant was this... my previous text under my sig contained 4 lines, but only 3 were text. there was a line of text, then a blank line, then two more lines of text. so i asked if the blank line counted in the 3, and i was told that it did

Ok here is a quick recap of the rule to clear it up

All signatures may only contain 3 lines of text (this includes blank lines) AND this also includes whats above & below the sig pic.
3 lines total, nothing more.

This isn't a rule about sig pics. It's a rule about what you type underneath your sig pic. This means no song lyrics, poems, no anything that exceeds three lines. GrlNIN you need to edit your signature, it's obviously way over the limit. ;)

Just use a marquee. It's simple.

<marquee>To make a marquee you type...(marquee)what you want to say(/marquee) but instead of using ( ) use < ></marquee>

I think sigs with too much text take away from the sig. My opinion: nobody sits and reads what is under a sig unless it's clear, concise and to the point.

I think a member's posts should be the focus of a post.

Yes. The rule is, you can have 3 lines of text surrounding your sig. Here's another example:

yadda yaddda yadda yadda yadda
tadda yadaa yadda
yadda yadda yadda

That's three lines. That's a;; any member can have under their sig. If you have a 1 line ablove you sig, you can have 2 below. The point is... 3 LINES ONLY.

If you want a marque that has the poem in it....just type of the poem WITHOUT ANY "RETURNS" and the whole poem will flow as one line.

For technical reasons, we're going to start enforcing the signature rules IMMEDIATELY. This means that if your sig does not comply to the rules, the moderators and administrators of the board will be forced to.

Remember - A maximum of THREE (3) lines either above or below your sig pic (or any combination thereof) and the pic itself must be a maximum of 100 pixels high by 300 pixels wide. The picture file must not exceed 30K either.
