I think they Billy should be supported and allowed to come back to the show.

He is going through a real hard time and I think he should be given some incentive to come back to the show.

Maybe the guys could set Billy up with a win-win situation on the show.

I, honestly, find Billy funny. He may not be the all-star of stand-up, but he does bring a lot to the show.

What should they do? Get him on the show somehow, that's what they should do...get him to phone in or something.
I feel for him. He went out to do something he loves, and he got hammered. A comedian loves their audience, and wants to build a relationship with them. Hearing laughter is like real gold to a comedians heart.
I think Billy simply got his heart broken. And like anyone who gets their heart broken, you take time off to think, get stronger, and ante up again.

The guy goes and does a gig - separate from his regular job on the show - and it goes very badly. Eh, a tough break. But what he should have done was sucked in that big gut of his and moved on. He didn't do that - he acted like a pussy, hid at his mom's house (or whereever it is he's hiding with his tail between his legs) and drank himself stupid(er).

For this we should welcome him back? He's missing work because of one bad gig. If this was any other job, any other company, his ass would be GONE by now. He's lucky he has friends at WNEW. But I have no sympathy for him.

But I'm tired of this act of his. Does he have serious, legitimate problems that he needs to take care of? Absolutely. And I hope he can get help for them.
