I once heard it said that most people tell you basically all you need to know about them within the first 15 minutes of talking to them and that you will know from this whether the relationship will work.

I definitely believe in first impressions, though. I have RARELY been wrong. The only guy I ever approached to talk to turned out to be the best relationship I ever had.

What has been your experience?

Do you believe in first impressions?

Do you believe in first impressions?
Not really, i try not to judge those whom i do not know.Sometimes when you meet someone new they tend to put up a front cuz they want to be liked!

first impressions definitely count for something... not everything, but they definitely matter. when i meet someone, i get a vibe off them right away. of course you cant tell everything about them, but you can get a general idea of how they are, and how you feel around them. my impressions are usually pretty on, although sometimes you obviously get surprised.

of course you learn more about people as you get to know them, and i'd never make a final decision on someone based on a first impression. but does it matter? hell yeah

for my sake I hope to hell not.
I used to put more faith in my own judgement when it comes to first impressions.
the older I get the more I rely on patience and actions from other people.

I believe in first impressions, up to a point. I'm a keen observer, and I'm rarely wrong. You can pick up a lot with just watching gestures, how a person carries themselves, or the way they smile. Luckily for me, I like all types of people, so first impressions don't mean all that much. I always want to get to know someone. It's just fun exchanging stories, and learning a bit more about someone.
Sure I believe in first impressions, but what's the use of them when you love getting to know people?
