Of course I personally believe that love, and relationships, have no boundaries. But I was reading an article today about how so many people seem to think that they shouldn't make their kids "suffer" through mixed heritage. Doesn't this sound like a copp out, HK, or any of ya?

I quite often have jungle fever. I'm a man who loves anything that looks good. I do have a theory though: black women have nicer clothed breasts, while white women have nicer naked breasts. I think the former is just the fact that black people are one step ahead of us crackers when it comes to anything cool, and the latter is my bias. But still..I think a 10 year long hands-on research project needs to be conducted by myself and Sunny. Any volunteers?

I totally agree with you Pooter, about me being post hungry, and the hands on project! But I think there will also have to be taste tests, squeeze tests, and lickings tests mixed in...and then you got yourself a plan! :)

SUNNDOGGY8 - An excellent topic with no clear cut answer. Then again there are very few things that are black and white (pun intended).

In an ideal world, race, color, religion, ethnicity, etc, would just not matter. It shouldn't. Love should be the criteria.

However, the real world makes it very hard for mixed couples to thrive. The partner is often not accepted by the family and friends of the other.

More disturbing is that their kids have a extremely difficult time as social prejuidices end up making them feel like part of neither culture instead of sharing the heritage of both.

So, Sunny, of course there is nothing wrong with it. Love is wonderful in any shape and form. But the couple has to be aware that they and their kids face a very difficult battle for acceptance. Many relationships are not strong enough to survive this.

I wish it were not so. While trying to achieve positive social change we are forced to live in the world around us.

I believe that in the beginning of this wretched planet that we live on now, we all had the same skin color. Now the one continent we lived on was separated into 7 and we all have adapted in different ways.

Now, we've found eachother again and as races mingle and have offspring, we're getting back to the beauty that we once had in the very beginning.

for me personally, i don't have the problem dating out of race, but the girls i get interested in seem too. I dunno, i think it's harder for asian men to get a girl out of his race then for any other men of another race, especailly since we get the small penis stereo type like the irish do, but even still, i think the irish have a better chance of getting women out of thier race then asian men do. ehh, girls suck, they wouldn't know what a good man is if one punched her in the forehead j/k ....

VEGETA - It may be your "opinion" but it's scientific fact as well.

Mitochondiral DNA studies have shown that all homo sapien origniated in AFRICA (around the oldovan gorge) about 100,000 - 150,000 years ago.

Although earlier species than sapiens ventured out of Africa (notably Erectus and Ergaster) homo sapiens clearly evolved in AFrica with no parellel evolution anywehre else on the planet.

Here's the interesting part. The natural human skin color is black, evolved to exist in equatorial regions and needed to protect the skin from cancer/mutation by the powerful UV radiation of the sun.

The further man moved from the equator, the greater the skin evolved towards a lighter color, as sunlight is necessary to manufacture vitamin d, w/o which calcium cannot be produced. There is a very clear distribution pattern of people with darker skin living near the equator and lighter skin living further away.

The Joker has had experience in a interracial relationship. People suck! They hate mixed races so they may hate the kid as well. It sucks when people still can't get along. Even if it is their own race.

But still, the arguement that it's "for the kids" still is something that's tough to believe...doesn't it sound like an excuse, rather than an honest justification? For example, a person won't "date" another a person just because of race...isn't that thinking waaaaayyyy too far ahead in the relationship? That's why it sounds simply like a racist cop out.

I am of the opinion that dating outside race and religion is a positive thing.

However, I am not so arrogant to assume that my opinion is universal or that there are not many people who completely freak out at the mere idea of this.

It would be unrealistic for any couple to date without thinking of the consequences whether the couple are interacial, handicapped, or from different religions. The world is cruel and full of mean people who punish and hate those different from them. We can strive to slowly overcome this view, but we must, at present acknowledge that it exists.
