Has anyone ever been to one of those? They look pretty good and are supposed to have really fast computers to play good games.

Mmmmm....pretzels.

Actually, I went to a gaming cafe a few years back. It was located on Rt. 10 in East Hanover. They had 8 souped up PC's for Quake deathmathes, and another 30 machines set up for other network games and web surfing. They used to host birthday parties and all kinds of stuff. But there wasn't much of a demand for it, and the hourly rates were steep unless you shelled out a lot of dough (for one hour of use it was like $5 or $10, but if you bought in bulk, the price went down accordingly).

I kind of miss that place, even though they didn't serve beer. I guess Dave & Buster's is the closest thing to something like that, except most arcade games blow these days and most are not networked together. I hear Disney has a few arcades like that out west, though.

At the Palisades Center near D&B, between it and the movies on the 4th floor, there's a place that is just networked pcs. I'm blanking on the name, but it's X-Data or something like that. Haven't played there yet, tho'.

Im not to familiar with Computer Cafe's but I do remember watching Touched By An Angel once where a girl sends fake pictures over the internet and then gets some mid age stalker/rapist guy after her. HAHA CLASSIC!
