Ron and Fez have helped me take my life a little less seriously. I thank them for that.
The guys were there for me (and all of us) after 9/11. I called every night that week and they put me through every night. They take care of their fans.
When they met Cancer Girl, they made her smile and feel loved. Down deep, these guys are heroes and they don't even know it.
The way the guys treat the callers and the fans. These guys know what makes them what they are. The fans. They are honest guys who go out of their way to make people feel good.
The guys have the best bits in radio. The bits are not tired, and boring. The guys rarely attack anybody who does not deserve it, and even then they make their delivery hysterical.
Ron is my hero. He has been there for me in ways the he would never know. Just being a strong personality on the air and the manner in which he treats his family has shown me how great a man he is.
Fez is a friend that I am proud to have. Fez is funny and always cool with me.
Rory and the gang.......what can I say. The best in the business. They take a ribbing from the fans but we love them.
If you guys are gone.....let me know where you are going...I'll go too

'I love Ron and Fez.' I say it at least once a day, usually to my girlfriend. She knows that no matter where we are, or what we're doing, as soon as 7 o'clock hits the radio goes on.
I've been listening for a long time, and have enjoyed every minute of the show. I don't know exactly what it is. I guess it's the chemistry between them. My favorite parts of the show are those times when it's just Ron and Fez talking to each other. They have that ability to make you feel like you're the only one in on the joke. At the same time, the rapport they've built with the listeners gave us all a huge sense of community, of family. I mean look at this board. We all come here, everday, and share our thoughts, feelings, problems, and questions with each other. I've haven't made it to a lot of events, but at the ones I have been to, I've seen nothing but acceptance. Everyone's always ready to throw out a hand and buy you a drink. I know this isn't an rf.net appreciation thread, but that whole sense of fellowship stems from Ron and Fez. They created and heartily encouraged the environment. They accepted everyday listeners into the studio, not as 'sight gags' or to put them in zany stunts and contests, but as genuine friends and contributors. Plus I can honestly say they are the funniest two men I've ever heard or seen in my life, consistently, every night.
This may sound really gay, but I came for the laughs, I stayed for the smiles.

I became a fan back when they were on latenights and syndicated to Boston. Stump12 got me hooked.
I like how they love their listeners, don't bad mouth other shows and how they just seem like two dudes who share the same intrests as me and are just as odd as me.
I listened to late night and mid-days but less and less when they went to nights, now I might regret I didn't listen when I could.
They changed my internet life greatly, I mean I'm on this site all the damn time and have chatted with some really cool people about some cool stuff and some very sad stuff.
Hopefully everything turns out well, these guys deseve it.
Seeeeeeeeeee ya!

When Ron told us on the air that O&A were gone, I was totally shocked. I'm no radio expert but I don't think the station is gonna last past tomorrow night.
The bosses at WNEW are suspended/fired. Now the people directly in charge of Ron and Fez are the "big bosses" you hear them refer to every so often. Seeing as how O&A were the anchor of WNEW and the reason for the talk format, I don't see these people trying to find someone to replace O&A AND still D&M. Too fucking hard to find TWO shows for the #1 market in the country. Much easier to find some guy to intro songs.
So when I heard he news, I knew the boys would be gone soon too. It's devestating. Like PanterA said, they werent just a radio show. I dont even watch TV anymore..I always have the radio on. And now it's all gone.....(I realize theyre not fired yet but i believe tomorrow is the end)
I remember the LI vs Queens power hour, SLAM TIME, Al Dukes being called fag all the time, "Whte people are so scared of black people" and of course the serious stuff too like the weeks following 9/11 and the towers of light thing. I almost pissed during the Big Dick bit.
My two kids (5&3) Sing..Won!......Fez!....Won and Fez, HEY!!! HAhaha Everynight at 7.
I just hope this isnt the ultimate "extended vacation" for the boys

every true words i can say too. But when they went to middays i couldn't listen due to school. It eats me up inside to see them like this. I love Ron and Fez as much as I love my computer. And that is more then life itself. I'm getting all misty eyed thinking about this.
My favorite RnF moment was when they had DOT COMmandoes. People to check in with spy reports about certain things, whether it was wrestling or Survivor. The never failed to entertain me. Thats all I can say as of now. emotions are really kicking in now.

I've been hooked on Ron & Fez since I stumbled across the show a little over a year ago. No one in radio or for that matter in entertainment is funnier than Ron & Fez. My favorite thing about the show is that they are never above the audience and make everybody feel like they are a part of something. I hope they don't lose their jobs although it is very likely. However, they are too friggin funny to not get picked up again soon. Thanks Ron & Fez for all the great laughs. The buddays will definitely land on their feet and probably at better station. <P>

Ever since January when i tuned into WJFK for the first time r&f were a major part of my life. Whenever i was feeling really down or depressed, i could just listen to r&f and i would laugh and forget about my problems. with them gone im going to have nowhere to turn. this is my worst nightmare come to life. and with school starting on monday im going to be getting all depressed and stressed out again and im not even gonna have r&f to help me laugh thru it. I would especially look forward to fridays for the Fezitorial. They could always make me laugh no matter how down i was. This may hinder my masculinity, but i havent shed a tear in quite some time until tonight. i don't know what i would do without them. i'm still going to post on this message board though even if we do lose ron and fez. you guys can help undepress me when i need it too as this board has in the past.

I started listening to O&A in mid-January and I remember commercials with a moaning chick and a guy with a squeaky voice. So I just "stayed on" after O&A and listened to Ron & Fez, just in time to hear Al Dukes make promises about the 1st Big Ass Night of Fights. The great thing about Ron & Fez is that they are just plain and simple able to make you laugh w/o grossing you out. In other words: they're damn funny. If this has been it I don't know what to do. No more comedy pyramid, no more stories about Fezzie's girlfriend from Niagara Falls, Ontario, no more stunts by Billy "Buttballs" Staples. I remember being scared to death when they played country music for the 1st 40 minutes of their show a while ago. I can just hope that if we're hearing Garth Brooks tomorrow it's just another bit.
Worst thing is: school starts in a week and a half. What the f' am I supposed to do w/o Ron and Fez making any day look good after fucking up in Math? Why did this have to happen? Why did that couple have to come up from Virginia???

I currently have a job where I am working from 2pm until somewhere between 9-10:30 at night. So I have had to miss most of the Ron and Fez show (and pretty much all of O&A) for months now. Even with that, the little bit of time I catch Ron and Fez is a fun time in the night. These two guys not only have fantastic chemistry, they make their job look so damn easy to do. The humor is always going strong. I remember listening to them in the wee morning hours when I was in California, and finding them again in New York was huge bonus. This is what comes to mind when I think what Ron and Fez have given to me as a listener.
Constant wrestling references. As a lifelong WWF (not the panda people) fan, hearing these two guys throw around names and comments is priceless. And of course, the occasional appearances by the Nature Boy. At the first Night of Fights, I "woooooo"ed myself hoarse for two days.
The great interaction with many of the callers and the staff. Billy's "aaaaahhh uuuugghhh" makes me laugh EACH AND EVERY TIME it's played. Melissa's giggles were the best. The constant jabs at Al's latent homosexuality. Joe Poo's voice. Regular callers who also appear on the show: Rooster, Gvac, Horde King, Claire, Myra, Frenchie.....and without a doubt...the Fezzatorial!!
I could listen to the "best of Ron and Fez" every day now and never get tired of them. Hearing one I knew was somehow even better.
WNEW was invaluable during the days following 9-11. Just hearing real radio from all the shows and allowing the callers to speak out deserves major recognition. While news shows and many talk and music radio stations (consciously or not) sought some "angle" to boost their reputation or ratings, D&M (even them), O&A and R&F really reached out to their fans and callers. I didn't listen to much else then. And when Ron and Fez returned to their usual format, it was unforced and natural. We wanted to laugh and they gave us plenty of chances to do that once again. That we could do that was the ultimate "fuck you" to all those who hoped that America was irreparably damaged by those attacks, that we could return to our life, liberty and pursuit of happiness....all the while having a many laughs.

I'm writing this hoping that tonight's show wasn't the last time we'll hear them on WNEW or in NY, though I know that it's a possibility. It's hard to believe.
The biggest thing Ron and Fez have given me is entertainment, by now hundred of hours of it. From the dotcom days through middays and then nights, they've put on such great shows and broadcast such great moments. I feel lucky to have begun listening way back in the 11-3 am days, when it felt like a super cool little secret show. All that's changed is that it's now a super cool top rated show.
I really feel like they've helped hone my sense and taste in comedy. Hearing Ron and Fez's quick wit and amazing timing have really been revelations to me. The whole challenge of writing an instant feedback and then later writing a song about what's going on in the show are things I would never have tried and would have never realized I could accomplish without the show. I'm grateful that I was able to do that because of them. Plus, thanks to Ron, I now know that the proper way to answer "You guys are great" is "Yes we are".
I'll also never forget the shows they did after 9/11, and it's a pity those who seek to bring down the station aren't aware of what all the shows did on those days.
And of course, I'm so thankful that such a great messageboard could spring from the show. Because of the board, I've met so many people I would never had otherwise known, and made quite a few good friends. I'll never forget the great bar crawls, parties and other events we had. I can't wait for the Fez-tival tomorrow.
So, as I said, I hope we won't have to go without Ron and Fez in the near future, but whatever happens, I want to thank Ron and Fez and all those who made the show possible for what they have given us.

I havn't been a Ron and Fez listener that long. But when I first heard Ron and Fez at 11.15 PM on April 9th , 2002 I was hooked. They took the pressure of of school for me. They made me have another hobby. They had helped me meet new people from the board and become buddays with some. Ron and Fez are half of my life , and I would like it to stay that way. I know that Opie and Anthony fucked up. But that shouldn't mean that WJFK or WNEW has to take away Ron and Fez. With people getting fired and moved and suspended , the radio has been one crazy ride these previos months , and Ron and Fez has taken us along all the way. It has been a fun trip , and I sure as hell enjoyed it. Ron and Fez are the 3 hours of everyday that I have learned to love , and I would do nothing to have it go away. SO PLEASE RON AND FEZ LISTENERS STICK TOGETHER AT THESE TIMES AND SAY FUCK THE LEGAL SYSTEM LETS GET OUT GOOD OLD RON AND FEZ BACK!

The first time i listened to Ron and Fez, it was when they were doing the RonandFez.com shows. They were building there commandos and getting people to fight over being WWF commandos, and Best websites.
But the show that hooked me in was a show AFTER they had Jeff Bridges on. Ron started saying he had a new best friend. Fez was getting so jealous. I couldnt stop laughing!
Fez: "Hey Ron you hungry?"
Ron: "Uhh not really Fez, I went out to dinner with my best buddy."
Fez: "...we didnt go out for dinner tonight..."
Ron: "No, I mean i went out to eat with Jeff Bridges."
Fez: "Why didnt you invite me?"
Ron: "Ohh ahhh, you didnt answer your phone."
Fez: "I was home all day."
Ron: "yeah well...maybe you were in the bathroom"
Fez: "I would have still heard the phone!!"
Ron: "You sure?"
Fez: "YES!!!"
Ron: "Well, i emailed you...did you check your email?"
Fez: "I never got your email..."
Ron: "See, there you go, the email must have gotten lost in the mailroom."
Fez: "Email doesnt go threw a mail room."
That bit roped me in and i would stay up as late as i could to listen every night. I was one of those pricks that emailed Ron saying "I love your show, I fall asleep to it everynight." Man would he get upset with that.
Guys, you're truly the greatest thing going TA-DAY! WOOOO!!!

Ron and Fez, as we all know are true radio originals. Yah losing O & A is unwanted but y'kow what? Those guys are really just assholes. Ron and Fez are our "buddays". And if and when they go, and it ain't lookin' too good right about now, we all miss out on something special on the radio. As Ronny puts it, they're "cool and the gang". How can you beat them? You can't. I've listened faithfully for the past two years plus. The show has kept me company (especially once they moved to nights) when I'm working alone. I still crack up thinking of the show with Paul O, shaved clean, waiting for an enema, while Ron and Fez try to dig Opie deeper in shit with the "sensitive" dominatrix in studio. I hope they don't leave my airways. They are the best "buddays" i'll ever have.

I'm sorry one post isnt enough to show my appreciation for Ron and Fez. After seeing Pantera write a section of Ron and Fez talking it made me so sad because I'm afraid I will never get to hear that again. Ron and Fez are simply great guys. They are the show who is most involved with their fans and will always be. Ron and Fez are great at making people feel good , and most importantly making people laugh. Since Ron and Fez , I have thought seriously of trying to get into radio. Since Ron and Fez , I have a reason to stay up until 3am every single night , and enjoy every second of it. Ron and Fez...WE LOVE YOU!

First off I would like to say that the ron and fez.net team (carter, pantera, etc.) really stepped up to the plate when it's come to a point where R n F and O n A fans have nowhere to turn during this horrible chain of events. So no matter what happens you should be commended. Excellent job fellas. As far as why I love ron and fez. Well, I don't want to sound boring and redundant but they have the most original radio talk show on the air. It seems that a lot of people compare talk radio hosts to the likes of a howard stern but I would have to say that o and a's format is more similar to stern's than ron and fez's (which is not an insult to o and a). ron and fez have their comedy pyramids, bits, amazing callers, and an unusual supporting staff. But, I have never ever heard a radio team with such great chemistry, a sincere liking for each other and the ability to come off as

(continued) "nice guys" to their audience. They illuminate a love a love for their audience that cannot be duplicated by other shows like stern, imus, don and mike, and even sometimes O n A. but still stay cutting edge and funny. It seems that abusing certain callers is one of the rules in the "shock jock" handbook in which R n F do not follow. Also, when I started listening I was drawn into the fact that this was or was not a gay/straight team in which I never heard on any other shows before. But as I kept listening I realized that I didn't care. It offered a whole other dimension and diversity to the show. I can go on and on but I'm sure that the posts before and after will cover it for me. If I came off as bashing O n A in any way than I apologize, but if I have to step on some toes to proclaim my love for R n F, then so be it. <P>

Where to begin. Its funny the attachment you get to a radio show. I mean, If you had told me 'd have been this upset at the thought of not being able to listen to a certain radio show a year or so ago, I would have laughed in your face. But here I sit, seriously nervous about what will happen to the boys. I think that just the fact that a thread like this, let alone a board like this, exists is a testament to what talented, funny and genuiely good people Ron and Fez are. I've only been to two events (the cruel circus and the loser leaves town match) but each time everybody there, either from the show or the board, was friendly and accepting. That all comes from Ron and Fez running the show the way they do. Its never a negative show. Even when they are making fun of someone its done in jovial and "all in good fun" sort of way. If indeed they are gone, they will be truly missed.
Favorite Fez Line: "When you go home from a hard day of walking the halls at WNEW and you say to yourself 'Man, my dogs are killing me!', are they REALLY DOGS?"
Favorite Ron Moment: (said to a female caller who said that her lovers liked to have her sit on them)
Ron: "So how much do you weigh?"
Caller: "I weigh about 250, 300 pounds."
Ron: "Thats what I like Fezzie. I like a woman that doesn't know where here weight falls in a 50 pound range. 'Oh I go about two fiddy, maybe three bills.'
I know they'll land on there feet, and we will all be there waiting for thenm.

I first heard Ron and Fez sometime in the year 2000. I don't remember what show it was, but I do remember laughing like a hyena. Within a week of listening to them, I was addicted. I would lay in bed, with my walkman on, and the lights out, and just listen to these 2 wackjobs, and their crazy cast of characters. It was nice to have 2 people who were up at the same late hour (11pm-3am) as me. One of my earliest memories of the Ron and Fez show was Whispering Kyle. He was this little kid who would call up the show and whisper, so that his parents wouldn't know he was awake. It was one of the funniest things I had ever heard in my entire life. I had to try to contain my own laughter, so that I wouldn't wake up the rest of the house. Dumpy, Hanna Han, Useless Betty, Tastless Ginny, Crazy Mary, and, of course, Bennington and Whatley themselves, were friendly, funny voices to help me through the night.
Eventually, Ron and Fez moved to the middays and afternoons, and I wasn't able to listen to them as much. But I always tried to keep tabs on them and find out what was going on on the show, because Ron and Fez were like two old friends of mine.
I was so happy and relieved when Ron and Fez returned back to nights, where they are at their funniest, and where they belong. I have been able to listen to them virtually, every day since they came to the 7pm-11pm shift, and it has been an absolute pleasure. They really have become a part of my life, and I am all the better for it. I believe, that as a result of listening to the Ron and Fez show, I have become a more thoughtful and open-minded person. Who knows how many countless listeners have undergone the same changes that I have because of Ron and Fez? For instance, any person out there who was homophobic to a certain degree, could not possibly feel the same way after listening to the gentle, hilarious voice of Fez Whatley. He is such a witty man. You would have to listen to a single episode of the show about 10 times, to fully capture all the puns and inside jokes that Fez comes up with. How could you not love him after listening to the Ron and Fez show for any length of time? By listening to Fez it has hit me that it doesn't matterwhat anyone's sexual orientation is, what matters is their personality and the way they treat other people. I have an over whelming amount of respect for Fez Whatley. Ron Bennington just may be the funniest person I have ever heard in my entire life. I could only wish to have half the wit and great sense of humor that Ron has. Everyone knows he's had a tough life, but he never lets things get to him. The show, and Fez, always come first for Ron. Much respect goes out to 'Big Daddy.'
I hope that Ron and Fez stay at night, at WNEW, however, if they should have to move, then I hope they can remain in New York. I am a fan of theirs for the rest of my life, and I will try to follow them wherever they go. I want to thank Ron and Fez for cheering me up when I've been depressed, and giving me a reason to laugh 4 hours a day. I can honestly say that there has never been an episode of R&F that hasn't made me laugh.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, Ron and Fez for always being there to crack me up and make me feel like life is worth living. Ronnie and Fezzie made me realize that life itself is ridiculous, and you shouldn't take it so seriously. That is a beautiful legacy buddies.
RON AND FEZ LEAVING? NOOOOO, WAIT........

I'm holding out hope that the recent events at WNEW won't necessarily spell doom for our favorite show.
The Ron and Fez show is the single most witty, entertaining, and hilarious program I have ever heard anywhere, and it would be a shame if they were lost to us for something they had no part in.
I've had the pleasure of being in the studio several times to witness them doing the show live, and it always amazed me how effortless they made it all look. These guys have a chemistry together, and it's obvious that this is what they were born to do.
They're also two of the nicest people I've ever met, with hearts as big as New York City itself. I'll never forget how heartfelt and compassionate their shows following September 11th were, and how in the weeks following they were the only thing that made me laugh and smile.
Here's hoping Ron and Fez are a mainstay of NY radio for years and years to come, regardless of what station they broadcast from.

I've being a faithfully listener for Ron & Fez since Dec 2000. I found Ron & fez by accident, just fliping though the radio and came across their show. R & F was talking about kid fight club and I been listening to them ever since. I never really listen to talk radio but Ron & Fez made it enjoyable. Then I also started listen to some of the show like the radio chick, sport guys and opie & anthony. But my loyality always goes to Ron & Fez. I especially like going to the live event like the bar crawls, night of fights, cruel circus and the upcoming ron & feztival. I always had a great time going to the event and meeting the message board people. I hope Ron & Fez will be on Wnew for a very very long time.

I started listening to them on Friday nights of the dot com days. I worked so early in the morning that thats the only time I could listen. They were like no other radio show I had ever heard. They are just so silly and they make me giggle like a little school girl.
I started listening full time when they moved to mid-days and I couldnt have been happier. I sat at my desk laughing out loud and getting weird looks from everyone in my office.
I always thought to myself that I would love to go up to the studio and hang out with them but it would never happen cause I was too much of a puss to call. Little did I know a few months later it would actually happen. Then I met the love of my life....to quote Black Earl..."THEEEE Dan from Hoboken???" And the rest is history.
I sit here at work with tears brewing as I wonder what will happen to our dear dear friends.....Thank you Ron and Fez for everything you've done for me. I know you always try to take care of me whenever you can and you have no idea how much I appreciate it. Thank you for all the friends I've met because of you. I love this place and I love all of you guys...We've had many fun times together. Thank you Ron and Fez for making my life that much brighter.

I love Ron and Fez! I work long days and long nights on Wall Street and Ronnie and Fezzie have always given me something to look forward to each evening. They've become an institution in this city that thousands of folks tune into every day for comic relief. Ron and Fez were heros after September 11 as well. They provided a forum for more than just a few New Yorkers struggling to make it through that terrible time to talk. They feel like family and I can't imagine the airwaves without them.
So to the powers that be, please keep Ronnie and Fezzie on the air in NYC! I will never do any business with Viacom again if they shutter this venerable radio institution of our city.

i started listening in august 2000 because opie and anthony said to check them out.
i went into the lil chatroom they had on ronandfez.com and someone gave me ron's s/n. so like a tool i IMed him and we got to talking. me and ronny wound up talking every night all throughout the show.
one night i was telling him about a problem i was having and he told me to call in. i think i was on the air for like 10 minutes getting advice from all sorts of different people. after that i started to call in a bit more and i was always in the late night chat room, which is where i met baby sarah, sheepie, and the horde king.
i became the backstreet boys dot commando ((yea yea let the jokes come i was 16))
when baby sarah left i wanted to maybe take her place but she told me not to, but as soon as i heard carly baby i said i was going to make my own character. It actually took a few days for me to come up woth angel amy and that didnt matter because the first time i called up i wound up fighting with joe poo anyway. sometimes i called in 3 nights a week. the late nights were some good times.
of course there was the famous "do you think i care about your life" phone call. i think even though that was a pretty rough night i think its still one of my favorite moments only because people still talk about it. my opie tattoo was great too only because i totally pulled it off and made it believeable even though it didnt look real, it sure did sound real.
ronny has been my "bud" for two TWO!! years now. we arent close as we once was but i just want him and fezzy to know just how much i appreiciate everything they did for me. they made me see what radio is all about.
at the xmas show i wanted to really thank ron and fez for all theyve done for me but i never got the chance.
heres for all the late night fans....
Closing time, open all the doors
And let you out into the world
Closing time, turn all of the lights on
Over every boy and every girl
Closing time, one last call for alcohol
So finish your whiskey or beer
Closing time, you don't have to go home
But you can't stay here
I know who I want to take me home
I know who I want to take me home
I know who I want to take me home
Take me home
Closing time, time for you to go out
To the places you will be from
Closing time, this room won't be open
Till your brothers or your sisters come
So gather up your jackets, move into the exits
I hope you have found a friend
Closing time, every new beginning
Comes from some other beginning's end
I know who I want to take me home
I know who I want to take me home
I know who I want to take me home
Take me home
Closing time, time for you to go out
To the places you will be from
I know who I want to take me home
I know who I want to take me home
I know who I want to take me home
Take me home

I too love ron & fez.
I listened to "The dotcom days" very very rarely becuase I was never awake (damn me for early rising!) I really got into O&A the Chick, and when the boys moved to middays I caught my first listen. It was in the middle of the baby controversy and I was hooked.
Then I went out to the Halloween Barcrawl one of the best nights of my life, where I met some of the goddamned coolest people ever. I was impressed with the caliber of people the boys could bring together.
Finally, in February, Effme got her nipple pierced and I went to the studio with her for moral support. It was a magic night, I got to meet the boys and like Gina's story, I also met the love of my life, Joe Poo. =)
So yeah, I got my tires slashed, and yeah Joe got an extended vacation, but there was always comedy, always fun times and alwasy nothing but cool people around.
I just want to thank Ron & Fez, not only for the hours of laughs, and an amazing boyfriend, but some truly great friends. And don't worry kids, this may not be the end.

Ron and Fez are my favorite comedy team of all time. Forget Stan and Ollie, Bud and Lou and the rest, NO ONE has made me laugh like them.
Their show IS the best in radio history. Their relationship with their audience (US) is more like a friendship. They respect every caller, and have never done anything to have to be put in this position.
Listening to what sounded like a farewell show last night was so fucking depressing (as I write this Ferrall is on live, so hopefully they'll be on tonight). There is no reason that they couldn't handle 3-7, but if it's not to be I hope I can hear them from whever they go. I don't even watch television at night.
Everybody keep your heads up, think positive. WE WILL NOT LOSE RON AND FEZ!
I'll end with saying I hope to see everyone tonight at the FEZTIVAL! Let's make it a celebration, not a wake.

(I haven't posted since Jeff reamed me for my accidental double posts! Hope I don't double post now...) <P> I don't know if R&F are really going to be off the station as well; I'm not able to listen like I used to and I didn't hear the show last night. But I'm a fan from when they were Ron & Ron in Tampa, and when WNEW went all-talk I emailed them asking them to look at the Ron & Ron show to possibly replace the suckass Tom Leykis. It was already in the works, I was thrilled to find out (didn't know Ron Diaz had left for good). I nearly cried with joy the first night of Ron & Fez.com; I couldn't believe they were finally here! I couldn't wait for them to have the impact up here that they did in FL (I am a very proud FL listener!). They helped thousands of people get through 9/11 and the aftermath, and all we ever expected them to do was be funny. The guys are awesome and I have incurred the wrath of that damn dentist for defending them on his board. They are the best talent in NY and Infinity would be really foolish to lose them (and I do NOT want them to quit for O&A. Sorry, but O&A would never quit for them; Opie wouldn't even help them with the AFRO show). <P> I've no doubt that Clear Channel would pick up R&F right away. They won't take O&A though. <P> <P>
I want to carry Fez around in my pocket.

Ron and Fez, what can I say?
The reason I got hooked on Ron and Fez was because Opie and Anthony gave you some props. I heard a crossover with O&A and you guys really shined with the big boys. I gave you a chance on the overnights and you have made my life alot better and alot more tolerable. I can still get a laugh when I have a horrible day at school or at home. On 9-11 you guys stayed on and helped all of us cope and we could never repay you for that. You guys maybe from Florida but you are New York Now and Forever!
Ron and Fez are just... THAT DAMN GOOD! Who would dispute that Ron and Fez are the best, most talented, quick-witted, fun-lovin son of a gunns out there. The best buddays anyone could have or would want to have. I know I don't know Ron and Fez personally but they are like my brothers like the board is my family (I've said this many a time). They also have made me rethink the whole televison thing. I would gladly listen to Ron and Fez over my soaps and wrestling! My radio doesn't turn off when I listen to you guys.
Ron and Fez are a great duo and the cast of characters (Billy, Rory, Joe Poo, Dumpy, Hawk, etc. even Al) over the years have complimented their collected genius. The Ron and Fez Show, finally got to the top of this industry and I hope they will stay here in New York. I don't know what I would do without them here over my airwaves. I really don't.
Ron and Fez, the TRUE good guys on radio! They never bashed anyone, (well there was Eddie Trunk but that was just a funny lil skit) stayed original and have prevailed in a word of liars and backstabbers (Cowbell on the Q).
The RonFez.Net board also helped me stay on the Ron and Fez bandwagon and I have made alot of great friends, many I would have never known without this computer outlet. And this board revolves around the both of you talented Radio Wonders (eventhough there isn't that many threads about teh show, lol)!
I love all the bits I can't really name one. The Stupid Girl music, the cowbell, the callers like the Jobber, Andre, Jan, the dotcom commercials... all have contributed to my love of Ron and Fez!
I would love to give you guys a great big computer hug, *hugs comp like a moron* you guys are really squishy, lol!
Stay strong! Stay true to who you guys are and the cards will fall in your favor. You guys... I think I'm gonna cry. ::sigh::

Who can recall one moment? I
loved it all....
I will say this, the one thing that
I truly love about the show and
the people: it would not suprise
me if R & F walked off or quit over
the O & A debacle, because
they're stand-up people, know
what I mean? Stick by your guns
type guys. I'll miss them, but it's
nice to see integrity in the world
when management folds like a
house of cards to the child
molesting life ruining catholic
church. 'Sides, give it a month:
Clear Channel will have all four
on the air waves in no time
If you post here, take 5 minutes and tell us your favorite Ron and Fez moment.
The thing about Ron and Fez is that they provided MANY great moments.
Tell us how Ron and Fez changed your life.
Even though they aired from 11PM-3AM, and I could only listen to an hour or so of the show, because I have to wake up early for work, Ron and Fez were so good I often "stayed up past my bedtime" to listen to them.
Tell us if there was anything special about the show you love so much.
The show is a unique one. They'll throw out a topic to the listeners, take calls, and offer their unique wit: a consistently funny combination. I like the rapport they have with their fans be it inviting some into the studio or having events like BANOF, Rock and Ribs, etc. Ron and Fez have a "one of us" appeal. They can never be accused of being imitators -- they are originals.
How did you become a Ron and Fez listener?
Driving up to CT I'd listen to WNEW. I'd often hear the Radio Chick and O&A but "Ron and Fez.com" stuck out the most for some reason. Maybe it was Fez's voice, maybe it was some of the topics (one of the first I remember was the discussion about whether you sit or stand when you wipe yourself), maybe it was the format of the show: I got hooked. I was delighted to discover them on WJFK and I hope we'll get them back down here soon!

It does feel kinda silly to be so attached to a radio show. Ron and Fez have gotten me through a year of ups and downs. And if it weren't for them, I wouldn't have met all you wonderful people.
My fondest memory, of course, when Fezzy walked me down the aisle. I still feel honored he took time out of his weekend to do that.
I love the show and hope the guys survive all the fallout from the firing. They truly are the best thing on NY radio.
Ron and Fez, thanks for being our buddays!

Where do I begin to say how much I love Ron and Fez? <P> I by nature do not sleep much at night. One night I came upon a show that was talking about websites and they were just having a great time talking to Tasteless Ginny. Since then I have been hooked on Ron and Fez. They are the only guys that really seem to care about the listeners. Everyone was welcome to the Cruel Circus J <P> I remember the day Crazy Clare came on the show talking about her meds and somehow after listening to her I did not feel I was the only one that was like this. I remember Ron telling the dominatrix he will punch her in the forehead. Then later Ron, Fez, Opie, Anthony making her cry was one of the best moments I have heard on radio. The annual Krispy CrŠme run. Fez wondering who was the gay person Ron was referring to ({Fez}"Is it Al Dukes? I can't wait to find out who it is." {Ron} "I'll tell you later"). The comedy pyramids. How can you compare? Last but not least they gave us Sweet Melissa. It is amazing how someone that size and lets not forget beautiful could give such great moans. <P> The boys have consistently put on a show that was intelligent, witty, and outright funny. They would listen to anyone's opinions whether they agreed or not. Although the boys later blasting them was the best. <P> Yea go ahead and call what ever. But by listening I knew there were other nuts like me out there and I felt a little more normal. My first event everyone from the board made feel so welcome that my usual meeting new people panic attacks never happened. <P> I also had the real pleasure to meet both Ron and Fez at the last Hooters event and they were the nicest genuine guys I have ever met. I have dealt with a few celebrities years ago and a lot really were standoffish. <P> To Ron and Fez (buddies) you are two Original, Funny and Great talk show hosts. Please don't leave. If you do you have a loyal fan where ever you go. <P> Thank for the laughs, the joys, the tears and all you have given of yourselves to us.. <P> <P> <P>

Why do we love Ron and Fez? They make my day alot better and I mean ALOT. Their brand of humor is perfect. The Pyramids, the callers, everything...as one of the other posters said they make you feel warm...they actually make you feel like you are a part of the show even if you are only listening and not calling. They make you feel like you can actually walk up to them on the street say hi, bs and have a beer with them without feeling strange....I guess they just make you feel comfortable...yea that sounds kinda strange doesnt it?
They truely are incredible humorists. Humorists...is that a word that actually gets used in our language?> Who knows. I think they should take over O and A's spot. Better yet....they should just go on after Ferrel and not come off the air. They are now the Back bone of WNEW. They are the big dogs.
I wasn't born rich Im good looking instead.

After hearing the show the first time, I thought "Who the hell let two guys with voices like these on the radio to talk about the internet?!". But after one show, I was hooked.
I would stay up until 3 am every night, even though I had to get up for work at 7 am, just because I hated the thought of what I might miss if I turned the show off. And the whole time, I would hang out in the old snap.com based chat room talking with Baby Sarah or The Horde King under the name Homer J Fong. Watching people type out the copy from the commercials as it would air (CLAANG!). Wow, are we a bunch of geeks. Calling in, giving weird websites like Engrish.com. Always wanting to be a dot-commando, but I didn't have anything I was an expert on, so I never really tried. I even called in one night, and while on hold I fell asleep and they just had me on the air snoring for about 10 seconds. I miss those days late at night when the "weird hour" would hit and all the freaks would call in.
One day while tuning in the show, during the intro, as I was saying it along with them, I said "DOT COM!" out loud and they didn't say it. It was changed to "HEY!". I was sorta bummed that they dropped the "dot com" at first, but it had to be done. How long can you just talk about websites and still get ratings? I mean, come on! How many times can you talk to the guy from Emptybowl.com? Where the hell was THAT gonna go?
From being just a listener, it turned into being a board member, and being comforted by knowing there's thousands of you freaks out there that are alot like me, to winning an mp3 player, to going to events, to meeting both Ron and Fez and a lot of the crew and board members, to going to the first lights out party, to getting my band played on the air. I couldn't have asked for a better time, and it is all due to Ron and Fez, and sure, they did it as a job, but they also do it because they love to do the show and have as much fun with it as we do.
I love this show a real lot, and I hope it stays around for as long as Ron and Fez want to still do it.
Thank you for the hours of entertainment Ron and Fez.

I can't recall the first time I listened. I would hang out online and listen to maybe an hour of their show due to my job(s). When Carter asked me to help out with rudeandrudeonline in Nov 2000, I did because I was a casual fan of the show and figured I had nothing better to do.
As the economy turned, I got to listen a lot more due to losing my job. I was unemployed for quite a while, unfortunately, and got to hear every single midday show. it was kinda cool.
I had the pleasure of visiting the studio once or twice and the guys were very cool and very nice.
I hope to hear many more shows from them to keep my nights (in)sane

Ron and Fez is that rare kind of show that's genuinely funny. Other shows have to try to be so, but it seems effortless with them. Sure, they have to work at things in order to make a great show that we all can appreciate, but their rapport is so clean and efficient that it makes us seem as if we're involved in the conversation. The comedy pyramids, the call-ins.. they make us seem included, and we are, really. Ron and Fez make me feel funny.

So many reasons, so little time...2 quickies..... 1st What comedy team is as mentally quick...let me help you NONE. They can take any topic and make it funny...the links, references are THERE, BAM. No waiting...by the time we doze off and say, 'oh yeah, this or that would have been real witty' they've thought it, said it, made it funny and moved on. As was stated earlier, they are THAT DAMM GOOD. 2nd the weaving in of the listeners. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, works their audience like R&F. It's subtle mastery...those who listen to R&F and don't like it don't understand how hard this is and how seamlessly R&F do it. <P>

I never got to listen when they were on overnight but I always looked forward to their promos on other shows. Everyone else would use a lame clip as a promo but R&F would cut hysterical skits for promos. <P>
Once they moved to middays I got to hear a full show and was hooked. <P>
I haven't watched TV since they moved to 7:00. With every other talk show I'm a listener, with R&F I'm part of the club. That's what puts them above all the rest. <P>
I'm wishing and hoping and thinking and praying they land on their feet and remain fixtures of NY radio. They did right by Infinity when they did 2-a-days so even if WNEW changes formats, Infinity still owns K-Rock whose ratings plummet after Stern. <P>
Ron & Fez, you guys are great...yes you are. <P>

thank you guys for everything. For being the one guarnteed laugh I get even on the worst of days.
I started listening during the over nights, and was hooked right from the start. How any two people can be funny every night without being repeitive is just beyond me, and I would have never believed that any show could ever be as entertaining day-in and day-out as your's without having listened for my self.
Thanks again guys - this whole this just stinks, and is just unfair.

I can't specifically site examples (they all blend together for reasons listed below). They make it seem so easy - the clever comments as well as the callers. These guys have a great chemistry that works - it's not mean or gross - it's funny. Truly funny. The reason it's so hard to remember any specific bits is that their stuff hits like that - bam bam bam 1 2 3 - you have to pay attention to get 1/2 the bits. These guys are way better than o+a. I've been listening to them for 2 years (religiously for about 1 year). I havent watched much tv 7-11pm for months and months. If they end up losing here, please let them land somehwere we can build the comedy pyramid again.
Please.

The first time I heard them, I thought what is this? By the time the show was over, they had a fan for life. No one in that business is better, I've never laughed so hard or so often at a radio show. They really do appreciate their fans, that's a good feeling. I wish O&A didn't get fired, but at least we still have Ron & Fez. I love this show.

One thing I always love about Ron & Fez is that they show that you can a funny program while being nice, respectful and welcoming to their audience. They treat the listeners like they treat each other and make every listener feel like they're an important part of the show.
I started listening when they moved to middays. Right before 9/11 I lost my job and, like many others, was out of work for a long while, and R & F always brought a smile whenever I was feeling down and out. I hope all works out well for them and the show, and I thank Ron and Fez for being the best thing going today, Whoo!

When O and A 1st endorsed Ron and Fez, I took it with a grain of salt. My flawed thinking was any show on that late from another market must be horrible. For that reason, I eventually got curious, so I listened basically to rubber neck what I thought would be a bad pileup or a public access show on radio. Obviously, I found out I was completely wrong, 1 of the 1st shows I remember hearing was an interview with Mamie Van Doren. My favorite show was probably the Afro/Regan show with Paul O. and the domanatrixes. Not only are Ron and Fez brilliant on their own show, they always killed when they were on O and A's and vice versa. Their genuine love of New York City was something I appreciated even before 9/11. My only thought now is when and where are they going to be back, assuming they get
cancelled.

I'm a long time listener, and this whole fuster cluck going on at 'NEW has motivated me to finally get off my ass and register, and now this thread has motivated me to post my thoughts... <P>
Anyway, making it short and sweet, I first heard Fez in a promo where he met Buzz Burbank on the Don and Mike Show. I was literally crying I was laughing so hard (not from the Don and Mike stuff, but because Fezzie just sounded so erm.... different). I tuned into Ron and Fez (that night?) and they had that bad hypnotist in the studio, I loved every minute of it! I was also IMMEDIATELY hooked and started listening every night. <P>
Ron and Fez are just great, I love every aspect of their show, every misfit that works for them or stops by the studio, it's just DAMN good entertainment! I could listen to most all of their bits (my favorite bit being the 'Nam flashbacks, BTW) over and over again and not get sick of them. <P>
If WNEW has any butt balls (sorry, had to say it) they won't abandon this format, they won't abandon Ron and Fez, and they'll recover from losing O&A. I mean, personally, I can live without Opie and Anthony (don't get me wrong, I love O&A but is there any doubt they won't sign with another company in mere days?) but take away my Ron and Fez and I will have to start killing people, DON'T take away our radio budd-aaaays. <P>
Alright, this RF.net newbie has rambled long enough, so I'll say my see-yuuuuh! <P>

I was so sick of listening to music. One night i was flipping through the presets and there I found them, yelling at Al. I knew they were the ones. It was very interesting. I thought I would keep listening to music, but once I kept 102.7 on all day, I couldnt stop. Though they were my life for a short time, they still made me happy. They changed the way I talked. I would say Hey Budday, or You're Gay, or even, like a moron, You're the gay guy on broadway. So I'd like to say thank you Ron, and thank you Aunt Fez, for the best days of my life. <P>

I first started to listen to ron and fez when i came back to north jersey after i graduated college... They helped get me through my boring ass temp job in an office building.. i signed up for my big ass card and promised to take the 3 hr tour.. but i was never called :( then i switch jobs around the time they moved to nites and have been enjoying the show ever since... i listen every nite and laugh at the quick jokes and wit of the boys.. i love when fez can't stop laughing and ronnie just keeps him laughing by saying just the right thing.. the Big Dick Dudely bit comes to mind.. also when fezzie says he had to go to one knee because he was laughing.. the drops that they isolate are too fucking funny.. my favorite bit had to come last nite with the boys doing their own callers, Andre , Jan, Kenny, and Iris.. just fucking comedy gold.. boys you will be missed and i will listen were ever you are two are on... good luck..

So one fine morning in 2000 I was driving from Boston to Great Adventure, and I was driving very early cause I had to make Great Adventure by 6 AM. (Long story.) Somewhere along 95 I heard these two guys talking on the radio. One sounded gay and the other was named Ron. And they were just talking about everything and nothing and websites and taking calls from people who seemed to be their friends and it was just fascinating. I didn't know what it was. I thought it was just some guys who were unlucky enough to have an overnight shift so they brought their buddies along. I didn't realize that Ron & Fez had a lotta buddies. I listened for as long as I could and then something else came on so I switched stations.
Then in October of 2001 I was again driving back from Great Adventure, only this time these guys were on after Opie & Anthony. The Turnpike was packed and the wait for the GWB was horrible, but I had these guys on the radio talking about the towers, and about what should be done, and they were riding some guy named Al up and down the place because he was scared to drive across the GWB to get to work (something I was just about to do) and I was just amazed at how they discussed the towers and whatnot quite frankly without a lot of that rhetorical crap that you get on, like, AM talk radio. They let every caller voice their opinions (and I was confused as to why people kept calling up and saying a number to get a "HOOWAH!" in return. Thought it was their zipcode or something... what?) and every caller got to talk without being drowned out, until one caller came on and kept getting an Ani DiFranco drop played over them. At that point I realized I liked these guys.
A few months later, thanks to certain Internet places, I started listening to the show. I've never called in and I've never had an instant feedback read on the air, but that's OK. I listen and I enjoy, and that's what counts. Other people 'round here don't understand when I say "That don't make you a bad person" or why I answer "Kool and The Gang" when asked how I'm doing, or why I happen to think a certain Ray Liotta impression is one of the funniest things I've ever heard, but that's all right, too. Those of us who know... we know!
So hi, my name's Rob, and I love Ron & Fez. Just thought I needed to share.

Well for me Ron and Fez has been a thing i can share with my friends. I transfered to a new school my sophmore year and had no friends none then i heard someone talking about ron and fez and could immeadiatly contribute to the conversation thus gaining acceptance with some kids who are now my best friends. I also discovered Ron and Fez at a tumultuous time in my life my parents were at ends with eachother and with me. At the same time my grandfather, who was my closest friend and relative, died. I was in a very depressed state but i found this wonderful radio program that has given me up points through all of this and is onee of the only dependable things in my life. Ron and Fez lets me know that no matter what is going on and no matter how crappy my life seems i have two guys who will be able to make me giggle. I also want to thank the boys for helping me and my pal brad after the 11th. Brad is my best friend and his father died. He was beyond consolation adn the only time he could really feel comfortable is when he listened to ron and fez wafter the 11th when they discussed what everybody was saying. So for all this I wish to thank ron and fez and i want to express my undying love for them.
If I had something remotely clever to say id do it here.

Great idea Pantera, <P>
I started listening one night in the dot-com days. They had been here about a month or two. <P>
Since then, I would faithfully stay up until the wee hours to hear the show live. What a blast. <P>
I missed them frequently in the midday slot and was so happy when they switched to nights. Now, I actually work my schedule around listening to them and have turned many people on to them. <P>
It's hard to pick a best show or bit. They're all so good. I've always listened to radio more than watched TV since a kid, and their show is the best thing to come around in a long, long time. <P>
If the format flips because of this, I hope they end up somewhere in NYC. If not, then at least on the underground somewhere. Having them gone altogether will be crushing. <P>
It's funny but no matter where you look, there is UNNAMIMOUS agreement that R&F have a great show and it would be a huge loss to lose them from the airwaves. That says a lot about the talent of these two guys. <P>
No matter what -- THANK YOU R&F. And also, thank you to those that take the time to keep this board rocking and thank you to those of you that appear and call in regularly. I've never met any of you yet consider each and every one a friend. I think that - more than anything else - says it all about what this little radio program has been able to do in a huge radio market like NYC. <P>
P.S. Sunrisa needs her own show if R&F leave NYC. Can't do without her great personality and giggles, and oh yeah - the moans. <P>
Zestieboy <P>
they are funny, witty, and all around nice guys. i loved listening to them the first day i heard them back in the .com days. i only miss a show when i'm forced to, otherwise i'm always listening. they are just about the only thing that get me through my day, and i am very thankful for that. i'll follow them to whatever station they find themselves on because i owe it to them.
love you ronnie and fezzie!!! :)

The initial description I heard of the Ron and Fez.com show was that of two guys who sat around and talked about web sites. I wasn't overly expectant to say the least. But very quickly I became hooked. I distinctly remember going places and refusing to get out of the car until I had heard the entire theme song. It was simply the greatest show I had ever heard. Then I went off to school in Maryland, and, luckily, the boys also made the move, and came on late night down there. Ohh happy days. Nowadays, I'm back in Jersey, and I simply turn my radio on from seven to 11 and leave it on, whether I'm home, or not. One of the greatest moments in my listening was when fezzy complimented my instant messages (I still ocassionaly hear it on best ofs, and I always smirk). It was always odd when they would change time slots, but at least I knew that they could be heard. <P>
You see, the problem is, is that I am sick, and I need Ron and Fez to get me through it. Cause I got a fever, and the only perscription...... <P>

I would like to start by saying that I have been a Ron and Fez fan for a LONG time, but I have only started posting here today because frankly, I am scared and if anywhere, I figured ronfez.net would be the place to find people who are feeling the same way I am. I don't know what I would do if for some reason (and GOD FORBID) something happened to Ron and Fez because of this whole mess.
I think what I like most about Ron and Fez is that they are real. They are people just like everyone else, granted they are two guys with a much better sense of humor then most, but normal people none the less. They aren't jaded or shallow as a result of their success or the position that they are in, and in my opinion that's a very admirable thing.
Listening to Ron and Fez, you can't help but fall in love with them. As impossible as it seems, eventually they become more then entertainers, they become your buddies.
I would like to finish by noting that every time I have meet Ron and Fez (at various events) they have both been nothing but friendly, amicable, and above all gracious.
Thank you Ron and Fez. For your dedication and your friendship.

im not sure why, but i can still
remember exactly where i was
when i first heard the show. (it
was about 11:30PM, summer
2000, and i was walking through
the parking lot with my walkman
on.) now when i hear the "best
of's" im amazed at the fact that
ive heard most of these shows
and that i can remember exactly
where i was when ron said this
or fez said that.
simply, i just enjoy listening to
their show. and there aren't
many things that provide
happiness and laughter without
requiring anything in return. that
is a great gift that the rnf show
provides.
ron and fez know comedy. they
understand delivery, timing,
content. unlike alot of other
shows, they do real comedy,
rather than just gross out humor.
i really think they are too
talented to disappear. if
something happens, they will be
back in some form.

Ron and Fez have made me realize that I could never be as big of an ass as Al Dukes, even if I do live in Jersey...makes me feel all fuzzy inside thanks buddays!
I believe that Ron and Fez are truly the class acts of radio, without a doubt the greatest...who really do care about people...
I'm going to miss all the great AFRO shows...my favorite shows without a doubt, its an accomplishment in itself to be friends with other personalities, but to do a great show with them is amazing, and entertaining...

I love Ron and Fez! I started listening to them because a friend of mine put me on to O and A. After some time my friend asked me if I liked the OnA show and instead all I talked about was Ron and Fezzie. They are really funny and when they were on in the afternoon I would put my walkman on at work cause I just Had to catch their show. Even lately when they've been playing re-runs, I still listened even though I already knew the jokes. Ron is a very cool fun guy who just seems like I would like to hang out and drink with. And Fezzie is quite possibly the funniest person I've ever heard. From the name to the attitude...he is just so.....FEZ! The show is great. I hope they stay, I really don't know where I'd go for entertainment without them...To everyone connected to the show, from the callers, the producers (even Al), Staples, Joe Poo, Hawk, Hamptons and all the ladies (especially sweet melissa)...I loved the show, you all did such a great job. THANK YOU!!!!!!

There many great R and F moments. I guess one of my favorities was the Oscar Blurb when Fez said to Paul-O that his wife smelled so badly that smell wore pants.
I consider myself to be one who doesn't fit into a cookie-cutter paradigm so R and F offer a sort of virtual home for a whole host of people. They helped me get
through some bad times in my personal life just by having on off-beat show and sense of humor.
What sticks out about them is that I feel I can relate to them. They're great because they don't try to come off like tough guys, instead they operate outside of a formula. Please don't leave us Ron and Fez!! Don't let dirtbag Tom Leykis take over!

I've been a listener since the ronandfez.com days.
The show has only gotten better since then. The
funniest ron and fez moment was when Al duke's

Ron is hilarious and fez's subtle humor is very
underated. Thanks for keeping me company at the

I think both are funny, but Fez makes the show. "Ronnie, I'm right here. Everything you say goes into the microphone."
The best running joke on the show is by far "GET ME THE BIG KNIFE!!!"
One of my best memories was coming home from Connecticut in the middle of the night and hearing them inerview the band "Lane Myer."
I started listening to Ron & Fez through O&A. I will admit that I feel bad that O&A are gone. I used to adore them, but I developed a distaste for their constant attack on religion. Now that they were fired, I know that IF they return, their attacks on religion will be much more frequent. Also, I prefer O&A's periodic attacks on religion to Leykis's daily attacks on it.

I can't even begin to do justice to what Ron and Fez are all about. As a former aspiring DJ out of the business, and a radio fan and amateur critic for nearly 20 years, I never thought I'd hear a better radio program than Howard Stern's from 1988-92/3. I'm a tough sell, the toughest, and I can find fault with even the best show. That said, Ron and Fez, where to begin. I couldn't take that gay guy's whinny voice, I didn't get the buddy stuff at first. But then it just starts to, and God, I deserve to have a fiance in Niagra Falls Ontario Canada for posting this, but they just melt your heart and make you feel good. They are the best radio show I've ever heard. Better than Stern at his best, my God they do circles around Opie and Anthony, better than Art Bell, better than Bob Grant in his heyday, better than Mike and the Mad Dog, better than Jay Diamond. There is no equal, there is no substitute. They are orginal, they are irreplacable, and I'm so happy they are part of my life. I really haven't considered the reality of them leaving the NYC area, I think they are too good to leave. But if they did, I don't know what I'd do.
Count me as one who turned to Ron and Fez during 9/11, but my real heartfelt appreciation came as I was having terrorizing panic attacks a few months after. I was a wreck, obviously, and I simply couldn't function. Everything I saw made me want to cry. I thought I was going to die, quite simply, as I"m sure anyone who's been through them can empithize. But the biggest senstation we endure during a panic session, is the lack of air. And as simply as I can state it, Ron and Fez were my air. They made me smile, they made me feel ok about panic attacks, they brought me back to life. I can't begin to thank these guys for what they do and what they are about. As far as the great bits, who can begin to name. It must be the easiest best-of show ever, because so much of what they do is the best. This post was a great idea Pantera, and I hope Ron and Fez do read it. I was at the Big Ass Night of Fights 2, and I got shutout at the door tonight, unfortunately.
If I had to pick one favorite moment though, my god, It never fails to give me tears in my eyes at a live event. The crowd milling and the boys are introduced, and the whole crowd SCREAMS "RON" and "FEZ", then "RON AND FEZ, HEYYYY" and it just warms my heart to think maybe these guys know the love that's out there for them, and the appreciation that goes into the work they do. It was just a magic moment, and I'd love to see video tape of it, but when Uncle Ron and Aunt Fezzie stepped into that ring, and heard that screaming, they looked shocked and taken aback. I feel like they didn't know how big they had become until then, and I was so proud to be part of the crowd that showed them that yes, infact, Ron and Fez are more than a radio show. I can live with O and A being gone, but I don't know how we'd go on with Ron and Fez. Long may you run boys, I really hope you take the time to read these, and just be aware that your work has meant something, and will continue too. Please don't dream of going back down south. New York wants you, and more imporantly, needs you. Stick around boys, we are begging here!

I FUCKING LOVE THIS SHOW.
Ron and Fez showed me how GREAT a show can be with audience participation.
I was a Howard fan long ago, and he hardly EVER took calls. And his show got stale, and Fucking BLOWS now.
My favorite Ron and Fez moment was when they read an Instant Feedback of mine, and then said I was on the top of the instant feedbackers. I felt great for a few seconds, then I remembered what that actually meant.
The show has also freed me from the grip of TV. Why watch 13 new episodes of a show each season, then reruns the rest of the time? Talk shows are bullshit.
Ron and Fez are fresh everynight they're live. And a lot funnier in my opinion.
Iris call ins and Uncle Fezzy's Pants Puppet have to be my ALL TIME FAVORITE bits.
May only good things come to these men, and the crew.
And may we all feast of the blood of thier enemies.

Ron and Fez make my day.
I have been a listener since the dot
net days. They have consistently
made me laugh for years now. I
look forward to the show
nightly....put the baby to bed and
listen to r & f.
Silly as it is, I listened to R&F while
in labor with my son. My husband
and I will always remember that
day's show. We considered naming
our little guy Bobo but have high
hopes that he we will aspire to

I am truly sad to see O & A off the
air and will do whatever needed to
keep R&F on the air. AFRO kept
many of us sane during the 9/11
tragedy. That is what I will always
remember, not a quickie in a
church.
Thank you to R & F for quick wit,
nostalgic topics and two nice guys.

the first night i started listening to ron and fez and got hooked was back in like April 2000, i think. they had some dude from iwon.com on. i've been hooked ever since. no particular early shows stick out. mostly joe poo and joe junior calls. the first classic show that sticks out is when Ant from O & A was on and they pissed off Chuck from the Radio Chick's show. another was when both O & A were on and they tooled on Angel Amy and also pissed off a dominatrix. those could have been seperate shows. i'm not sure. <P> <P>

It's easier to mention what I don't like about the show: virtually nothing. I know that this may sound corny, but I cannot recall in my just over 1 1/2 years of listening a moment when I switched them off due to boredom or a topic I didn't care for. R & F share nothing but pure entertainment with their listeners. But it is more than entertainment; it is their genuine love of what they do, of how they live to share this with their listeners and how they care about what their fans say and do.
I don't recall the exact time I stumbled upon the guys. It was some time in early 2001 when I was driving somewhere during lunch time and clicked on NEW. I couldn't believe my ears! I had found the most refreshing thing on radio in years. I vaguely recall that they had those folks from the spanking society on. I remember calling my wife and demanding she also put it on. She too became hooked. It has become an integral part of our lives. Our hours at night in front of the computer are always complimented by the Ron & Fez show. What's a TV?
Wherever they go, we'll be there. If it's daytime, then I'll find a way to listen in my office. (gotta rig an antenna: interior office + metal studs in the walls = lousy reception) I could go on and on, but you get the point: they have become such a part of my existence that whatever the outcome of this mess, I'm with them. Love is not a word that I throw around too much, especially for people that are this disconnected from my immediate world, but it has certainly developed into something that, if not love, then a feeling that is damn close.

Explain Ron and Fez? Define them? Very hard. You either get it or you don't. I CAN tell you that they love their jobs and the love their callers and listeners. The very best in FAMILY radio - if you know what I mean. Hell, they were even nice to Patty.
They redefined radio in nyc.
They were there at a very low point in my life and saw me through it. Thanks boys.
I have learned much from Ron and Fez - most of all, not to take things so seriously.
If you get drivetime, That's a promotion you richly deserve. I'll miss you nights though.
Thinking back across the 2+ years of fun and entertainment I think their high point was the way they saw us all torough 9/11. They shed some bright light on those dark days.
Thanks again to the Ron and Fez and their radio family. Wherever you land, I wish you all the best.

I've been listening to Ron & Fez for over a year, since their mid-day time to the night slot.
It's hard to say why I love Ron & Fez, maybe it's their on-air chemistry. Or is it the characters they came up with? C'mon Iris is fucking hillarious with the news you can use for the jews. It's hard to pinpoint one reason why I love the R&F show. I just do.

This is obviously my first post, so be kind people. I became aware of R&F in the dot com days, listened when I could, but with a day job, it wasn't so easy. Once they went to eves, I was hooked. I think the only time I'd turn off these guys was during Yankee playoff time, and even then it was back and forth on the button. It's all been said already, but I'll say it again... these guys are the perfect mix of funny, wicked cruel and family... They challenge us to be better listeners, amateur comedians, and they remind us that most anything 'don't make you a bad person'. That "goodbye" show they did Thursday was a class act; thank god it wasn't necessary, and we can look back and laugh at them for acting like a couple of whining schoolgirls! Long live the cruel circus.

when I first heard Ron&Fez I
hated them! I hate to say that
but it's true. I listened for about
5 minutes and I hated them, one
queer and one loud obnoxious
guy, or so I thought! That was
around late 2000. Then end of
last year I began listening to
them, and I found the humor
hilarious, better then the same
old boobs and womens body
parts stuff, actually had funny
stuff to talk about and the callers
made it that much funnier! Now
i'm hooked! I cannot get enough
Ronnie and Fez! i call in all the
time and I try not to miss a
show! just contributing to the
pyramid! My greatest meomory of
the show is after 9/11 when the
humor for a few shows dies and
we realized the true meaning of
freedom!

Straight up from the boys themelves - "the best callers in radio"
in the words of stone cold
"uh uh"
We've got the best show in radio. Period. Yeah other shows may get the A-List stars or even funnier regulars like on Stern or O&A. But everyone associated with R&F - the board, interns, Paul O, Heckler. babies, even that no balls twit Wild Thing added adds to the show.
R&F = simply the best. Bless you all and the rest of you fezheads

10 Reasons why I love Ron and Fez
1. They Insipired me to look into to Radio as a possible career.
2. They have read me on the Air from Instant Feedback.
3. They allow the listeners chances to join in on the fun.
4. They are the best damn Radio show in DC.
5. As of Today, I am now listened to RF religiously for a year.
6. R+F along with O+A have introduced me to new comedians, such as Norton.
7. Ron and Fez brought me here, RonFez.net. They encouraged people to join the site, and when i first joined it was ackward, but all you guys rock and i enjoy being a member.
8. It gives me something to look forward to everynight.
9. When I have a live feed, I feel like a part of the show, not a bystander.
10. Ron and Fez rock, and nobody can ever take it away from them.
Keep making great radio, and dont let the bastards drag you down. Come back to DC too. SEEEYUH

i also love ron and fez
i dont drive, so i either walk or take a bus everywhere at night, or i'm at home just chillin. they fill my nights with laughter, and now will do the same in the afternoons.
ron and fez also gave me the orgasmic voice of sweet melissa, and the irresistible french bread, who is everything any guy could want in a woman.
most of all however, they give themselves, to their crew, fans, and the quality of the show.
thats why i was elated when they showed up and greeted everyone at the O&A rally. i gave ron a "budday" and shook fez's hand with a "heeey" in my heart. with the whole 50 of us shouting "ron and fez!" it was the highlight of the afternoon and my ron and fez experience so far. that is until i finally get the chance to attend one of their live events...

I've started listen to the boys about a year ago when they moved to mid days. Fezzie's voice had me hooked from the time I heard it and I have since listened almost every day since.
They speak to all of the listeners like you're there in studio with them, almost like you the only one that they're talking to. They can bring hillarity (did I spell that right?) to the saddest of situations and makes every caller and Instant Feedbacker feel like they're part of something big.

Reading all your posts has made me feel so much better. I've felt sort of embarrassed at how upset I've been at the demise of the AFRO zone. My brother actually called me from San Fransisco to see if I was ok after the news broke! I was first an O&A listener, but as much as I loved them, Ron and Fez made it feel less like listening to a radio show and more like hanging with your buds. They always treat their audience with such affection. Even when someone's being picked on,there was never any scense of true meanness to it. Kind of like when you're a kid and your brother gives you a wedgie. Yes, your underwear are up your ass, but you know you're loved. Ron and Fez are a welcome island of silliness in our way too reality based lives and I hope we are not destined to lose them. God, this is that same awful feeling I had at my high school graduation. When we were all promising we'd keep in touch and get together soon, but all the while with that fearful uncertainty looming. Well, my best friends from high school are still my best friends now almost 20 years later and I'll show my new friends no less loyalty! Ron and Fez rule! Fan and friend forever!

I love Ron and Fez for the simple reason that they make me laugh. I discovered them while I was station-surfing in my car about 2 years ago. It was Fez's voice that got me hooked. I love the comedy pyramid! I like how quick-thinking and clever listeners are when they call in with stuff. I love the big orange ball of failure! Ron and Fez appreciate their listeners. <P>
They have helped me a lot this past year. I live in lower Manhattan and we when had to evacuate on 9/11, I stayed in a house 2 hours from NYC, not near public transportation. Since I had to go to work, I drove into the city every f'ing day for about 4 months until our apartment was cleaned up. Driving home 2 hours after a long work day was horrible and the only thing that kept me going (and sometimes awake) was Ron and Fez. I am so grateful to them for making me laugh during that time. <P>
I didn't realize how much I look forward to the show until the time change. I can't listen to them at work, so I've been taking my lunch between 2-3 so I can at least hear the first hour. <P>

How did Ron and Fez change my life?
Where do I begin?
I called in to their show, their second night on the air in NY.
I went on be a regular guest in June of 2000.
I became their producer that summer. It was the first job I'd had in a decade, since becoming sick with MS.
I still work here.
It did a great deal for me, to meet people who were willing to take a chance on me and put their faith in me and even put their livelihood in my hands, by letting me produce their show.
However much you love `em, love `em a little more. They're awesome guys.

Ginny rules!
I have a Ginny story!!
It was the night where Ron and Fez were playing a drinking game with the girls. I believe it was the first night with Sweet Melissa. It was the Planet Java drinking game. Anyway, they needed more things for the girls to do, so me and Dan from Hob. were brainstorming inbetween commercials...I came up with the body shots and the licking of the lesbian couch...lol sorry Gina. Well anyway, Ginny walks over to us and flat out says "You can have the girls shave thier pubic hair. I think i have a razor in the office. ohh in fact you can have them shave eachother." She didnt flinch, smurk, or even giggle. That moment i thought she was the coolest chick ever!

I first heard of Ron and fez through O & A last october and I am like why the hella ren't they on in Philly. So I would drive around for a couple of hours a night and listen at high points in the areas around my home. I lived in Perkasie, PA until June when I moved to Jersey (Princeton/New Brunswick area). Perkasie was a half hour south of Allentown right below Quakertown. Yeah it was the boonies but the first show i remember hearing was Al Dukes and Black Earl fighting and setting up what would become Big Ass Night of Fights II. From that point on I would try and listen here and there but not untill I was in within a closer distance of NYC could I hear them on a more constant basis. Ron and fez to me really are like a security blanket. I feel comfort in their voices and I guess because they connect more with their audience than any other show I have head. I mean like 75% of the show is call ins. That is a beautiful thing because the boys totally feed off of the callers. Too bad I can't call in because I get too damn nervous. I have in fact been drawing Ron and Fez cartoons on a pretty regular basis. The one got posted here on the site which I was really happy about. I recently drew one up of a little boy all snug in bed with his Ron and Fez stuffed animals and sheets and poster and curtains and slippers. That is just how they come across to me. I got back from overseas a month or so ago and they were the first voices I heard upon my return and it gave me such a warm feeling and I knew I was home. They truly do feel like my friends because I feel like I connect. That's it, I'm done. <P>

Where to begin? I started listen to Ron and Fez when the Radio Chick was still on and they would be on right after her. From that day on, I never stopped listening. I feel like they are my best friends, hell even family. I love them so much, I don't know what I would do without Ron and Fez.
During September 11th, Ron and Fez helped me deal with my emotions and thoughts about the horror. They also have always made me laugh, no matter what mood I was in. They make listeners feel like they are part of a big group of friends just hanging out. Ron and Fez never let their listeners down. They have an ALL SECRET SOCIETY for loyal listeners, they host parties for their listeners, and they invite listeners into the studio, I really do not know any other show that does this.
Without Ron and Fez radio is just garbage. Where will people turn when they need a little happiness in their day if Ron and Fez are gone. Me must do something to keep our buddies here in NYC. I'm not going to stand here and do nothing about this...I have sent in over 100 letters to save Ron and Fez, I have donated money to save Ron and Fez, and I will not stop until my best friends Ron and Fez are in NYC for ever. There are many people out there that need our buddies just like I do. Let's pull together and let each of us do what we can to keep them here in NYC. Because without Ron and Fez, what kind of senseless radio will be put in their place...I do not want to find out. Let's keep Ron and fez in NYC, do your part.

I wasn't around the first time so I'll throw my two cents in here.
Ron and Fez- where to start?
Why I love Ron and Fez....They are the good guys. Seriously, I am a fan of many things. I love the Mets, Bears, Atlanta Hawks, many TV shows, etc. But, I can soundly say that I am not on Mike Piazza, Jason Terry, Brian Urlacher, or Jeff Probst's Buddy List. None of them have personally invited me to a game, event, or show. None of them have allowed me to speak in a forum such as radio to tens of tens of listeners. Let's face it, they are famous. We may not think of them that way b/c they don't 'play the part.' What I mean is that they are not too good for anyone. The first time I met ron was before a live show and he was getting ready but still took the time to talk to me and my gal for a good 5-10 minutes. and, They always remember you no matter how long its been between encounters.
Finally, I love them because they are real....aside from the jokes, what they say and do on the show is not all for the show, alot of it is how they truly feel, whether it be pain, laughter, compassion, sympathy, or guilt, they mean what they say and say what they mean.

I love Big Time and the Golden Rebel.
My situation is a little unique, as I represent the West Coast R&F fanbase. I'm not sure of our size (we walk single-file to hide our numbers), but I do seem to be the only one here. However, like the New York contingent, I now have to go through a whole rigamorale just to hear the show. (Hey, stop the music! I said "rig!") Thanks to the incredible people that run the underground, I never miss it.
How did an Oregon boy first strike radio gold? In February 2002, I was flipping through channels on my lunch break, when I heard the unmistakable velvet tones of one Scott Ferrall. I used to listen to him during his stint with Westwood One. This was my introduction to Opie and Anthony, who had him brought him on their show to be berated by drunken Pats fans after the Super Bowl.
This was on a Infinity-owned AM station, experimenting with a format of Don & Mike, Opie & Anthony and Ron & Fez - 24 hours a day. I became an instant O&A addict. While I never warmed up to D&M, occasionally I would hear Ron and Fez when I drove home from work. At first I thought it was a show dealing with pro wrestling - I remember thinking to myself, "I can't imagine ever being into this show." After a few more listens, it suddenly occurred to me that Ron and Fez were the two funniest men on the planet.
Like the rest of you, I suffered through the horror of the "Peanut Butter and Jelly" incident of August 2002. During that time, my affection for Ron and Fez only grew. The station continued to carry them along with Don & Mike, but it was obviously a lost cause. One day last Fall, while Ron and Fez were speculating on the identity of the DC snipers, the station changed formats (while Ron was in MID-SENTENCE!) to country music.
My favorite moment of the show had to be the Make-Believe Ballroom. However, Iris, Andre and Kenny fighting with Dr. Kim made a convert out of my chick. So much so, that she didn't mind me hijacking a recent New York vacation and turning it into a Ron and Fez pilgrimage. I'll always cherish the memories of going to the Hard Rock Cafe last October and meeting the hosts of the greatest radio show of all-time.

I used to work at this really crappy place as a stock boy in summer 2002, and I'd have to be up in the attic in 100 degree heat sorting clothes and I used to bring a radio with me and tune into Ron and Fez when they played them in the afternoons on NEW, and it actually made that job tolerable. Nobody does more for their fans than Uncie Ron and Auntie Fez.

sorry this is so long but Ron and Fez have been a part of my life for 3 years now and they really helped me.
I started listening to RonandFez.com in the fall of 2000. My friend listened to them and when i was up late at her house wed listen to the show together. She was actually Poetry Girl for any of you who listened to them when they first came to NY. Well anyways i was really depressed at the time and when i get depressed I turn night into day and day into night so I listened to the show until 3 am every night. It really helped me when i was so sick cause they kept me company, kept my mind off cutting myself somewhat and made me laugh and feel happy when all I really wanted to do was lie in my bed all day and die (I know that sounds dramatic but its the truth).
So anyways I was looking at the website, (the show was so interactive then it was great) and i found a link where they were looking for new Babys. There was this girl who called the show in the beginning who was on the air all the time and they called her Baby Sarah (from a quote from High Fidelity, right? PS Baby Sarah ended up dating Dumpy) anyways they were looking for more girls to send in their photos and maybe hook them up with listeners to expand on the Baby concept (which went so horribly wrong) and I sent in my prom photo without even sending in my name and totally forgot about it. Then the next night we were listeing to the show and they mentioned me on the air, using my email address, which was dromedah@aol so they called me Baby dromedah. Then there was lots of drama and the baby concept crashed and burned. But it was so exciting for me, especially since I had nothing going on in my life since i was to sick to work or go to school. I was only on the air a couple times when I was a Baby cause I wasnt really involved in the baby civil war and subsaquent (i sound out) demise of the whole thing. But just being mentioned on the air, told I was hot, and being on the radio was so exciting and a wonderful distration for such a sick person.
So anyways the baby shit was over and Godzilla (where the hell is Godzilla anyways, is he ok?) was on the air one night talking saying that he was feeling depressed or was just diagnosed with it or soemthing i cant remeber exactly. Anyways Ive been diagnosed and have been treated for depression since i was 12. I called in to tell him about medications and how they effect you and such. ( I called in as an expert in a sense) anyways i gave my name as Clare. Another time they were talking about OCD so I called in to talk about my OCD habits. They started asking questions about me and my illness and hospitilizations and I soon became known as Crazy Clare. IT was liberating for me cause for so long I was embarassed by my sickness and never talked about it and my hospitilizations and such. But I felt annonyomous over the air and I got to share everything that I had been afraid to even admit to myself. Ron and Fez made it so I wasnt embarassed of who I was. Talking to them on the air and, after I turned 18, in studio, helped alleviate my shame towards my mental illness. If it werent for Ron and Fez I would be a different person than I am today. Now I am much more open about my sickness in my everyday life and Im not ashamed anymore, shit what I had been so embarassed of, everyone started to tell me was hot! I would like to thank Ron and Fez for encouraging me not to hide who I really am. I really do love you guys. oh and for introducing me to so many sexy girls!! Ron and Fez helped my self esteme, made me into the crazy person I am today and improved my sex life!

I was going to try to say something profound here in my 100th post until I read
Ron and Fez helped my self esteme, made me into the crazy person I am today and improved my sex life!
Well, then. I'd go for two of three. All I can say is
Merry Christmas.

Hey Buddddddies!!! My favorite Ron and Fez show was last year when they were having the Big Ass Capos down to the studio. I think I went on a wednesday and the guys were very gracious and fun. It really was a great time. Now I have to tell you that I'm not really like that. I've never gone to a radio or tv show. Never asked for an autograph or to take a picture with someone, but I loved listening to R&F so much I couldn't waite to get down there. Just thinking about this though makes me very sad because I don't get to hear them anymore in NY. I wouldn't tune WNEW into my radio if I was paid to. Unless of course they put Ron and Fez back on. Well thanks for the memory!

Hi there! My name is carter. I believe this site is actually registered to me! But none of you know that! I became a ron and fez fan when i realized they were the most genuine people in radio. Plus their wit blows away other shows. Best parts of the show are the things muttered under ones breath. Oh yeah... Pantera sucks

this sucks i don't know how long you guys have been gone, but it is a living hell. radio SUCKS wihtout you in NY. there is nuttin to listen to here. You guys made me laugh when I needed to. and that is always, it is a shame that you have too suffer for the acts of others. no names. but someone will realize that 102.7 SUCKS now and maybe bring you guys back. That station is like listening to a good ole boy rape a sheep in the back of the shed. I am even willing to buy tapes of your show. all I can say is that you guys made my day better when it was bad. hope you come back to NY, I think I speak for everyone when I say "WE MISS YOU" KHALILSRG WILL SUPPORT YOU. EVEN THOUGH I CANT HEAR YOU, I FEEL YOU. Text

Radio in NY is so abysmal now. Ron & Fez are still on from day to day in DC (lucky bastards) and O&A are coming back in 200 days (give or take). In the meantime we're sitting here reminiscing about the good old days...you know; a year and a half ago. No wonder nowadays Stern is the best live talk/comedy show in NY. What the F are you doing to us, Infinity?! Why is keeping a show with a loyal fanbase on a problem?
