That show was, in my judgement, the best yet.

I was psyched to see all of the fans and board members pertying like maniacs, and that desire was more than fulfilled.

The board was well represented and the roof was coming off the place.

I wanted to go really bad, but I'm only 18. The show sounded awesome over the radio, except you couldn't hear any vocals from The Mighty Mighty Moshtones version of Papa Don't Preach.

I couldn't make it, but was hoping that Eddie Trunk would have been nice enough for listeners at home to hear the bands - unfortunately he didn't. (What was his purpose for even being there?) I also would have loved to have heard Chris Jericho in front of the audience.

I wasn't able to make it....At first I was disappointed, but after I heard the samplings of the bands playing friday night, I was glad I didn't have to suffer through that noise. Every band I heard was downright horrible, and being a musician myself playing the NY circuit for so many years, I've heard enough crap. BUDDIES....next time, make it another Big Ass fights or something. If we want to hear untalented bands, we can always go to the local bar! <P>

What can I say? Definitely a great night, and one of the best times I've had in quite a while.

It was a total blast hanging with all of you, and a real kick to be able to play with the rest of the Mighty Mighty Moshtones.

The 5 bands that competed were all top-notch, and a great bunch of guys, too. I wish they all could have won recording contracts.

Of course, I have to give a HUGE Thank-You to Ron and Fez and their staff for organizing yet another awesome outing. They're class acts through and through, and I'm honored to have been a part of it all.

I had a fantastic time - It was my fist R&F event, it was cool as hell to see all the people from the show and the regulars. Even for those folks that didn't like the bands performing (a lot of the jersey crowd only likes covers, remember?) The joshua tree (U2 cover band) and the moshtones really did tear it up. I gotta thank Staples for letting me dig in to the ribs after the contest. They were unfuckinbelieveable, I think I downed 15 myself. Some BEAST was crowned Rib champ with 60 ribs!! {sorry I forgot your name, rib champ guy, but congrats} Ron and Fez - Radio's King and Queen !!!<P> <P>

The show was exceptional considering what the last week was like. RonFez.net guys.. what can we say? A terrific concept executed perfectly. THANK YOU!! I had a great time. It was nice to see all the regulars again. The Moshin & Mighty Moshtones really kicked major ass. I hope they start touring. first i want to thank long island for creating the long island iced tea...i enjoyed about 8 of them plus the 2 i dropped on the floow throughout the night..

i had a fantastic time..it was great to be around the board and the show and just everyone is fantastic. i missed ron and fez so much and now i know why, because you always have a kick ass time when your at anything that has to do with them.

thank you all my girls, and their tongues AND their bewbies. i was a regular fixture on both. i'm glad everyone enjoyed mira and i dancing...but i bet i enjoyed it more...

Lisa is the mosh pit (awesome)

Trojan_Rabbit, Blakjeezis, Jester and I having an in-depth conversation on the topic of seizures. (very informative}

The lead singer of Monty Love chipped him tooth in the mosh pit (whatta nut)

Gvac doing the Chuck Berry move while he was playing (classic)

The chant of "Jer-sey Rich ...Drop Your Pants" that went up from the crowd (anyhooo)

Not getting to see the phantom of the rf.net : HECKLER (He's a Viking. We understand he's busy)

Meeting so many new board members (fun as always)

Figgy breaking into the "Peanut butter Jelly Time" song (the man is.the man)

Mikey D throwing his drum sticks to the crowd (repeatedly)

Having to put on latex gloves and count ribs with Pootertoot (Priceless)

Oh man, what a weekend. Busy, bisy, bizz-e. It's 11:11 Sunday night and I just turned my puter on for the first time. I know I'm late, but I'm giving my recap anyway.
Ron and Fez
Once again proving that they are the best there is. A fantastic show by two class individuals. I can't say enough about them. Even under the circumstances, and what I imagine is an amount of uncertainty, they came out and were entertaining as hell. Top of the food chain, baby.
The Bands
Joshua Tree - Rocked, period! Never enough U2. It was the first time I saw Brother Joe live and he looks so much like Anthony it's disturbing, like Pod People disturbing.
The MoshTones - Great all the way. Mikey D lookin' like Animal from the Muppet Show. After he threw out all his sticks I was waiting for him to start banging the skins with his head. Jersey Rich, the the bruth' man from the muth'lan', on bass, hammerin away, droppin' the funk. Legroom on keyboards, poundin the ivories like a madman. 42nd Delay rockin' as only an Albanian, errrr, Argentinian, errrr, whatever can. Gvac sawing away on his axe and dancing like it's 1999. I'm just glad he didn't break a hip. Ya old bastard. And of course, the lovely Moshin'. What can you say, she's got the voice of an Angel.
The other bands were all excellent, too. Highlights for me were Monty Love, absolutely fucking electric performance. Incredible. I also dug the Sweathogs. A unique sound. When I saw the brass section hit the stage I was expecting straight Ska, but I was presently, presently surprised.
The People
Jester - Cool as hell. Chilled all night. It was a pleasure to meet you, I'll bend my elbow with you anytime.
Lt. Rooster and Pantera - Big thanks for taking the time and making the effort. I really appreciate it.
Dark Hippie - Cool to meet you. We gotta get the game going, man.
Ag1247 - Alchoholic, case closed.
Tazz - Not little. Not Orange. Still Cool.
Dan from Hoboken - Saw him blowing his nose by the bathroom. Felt the need to tell me he was blowing his nose by the bathroom. I still get a kick whenever I see him. It's like meeting a celebrity.
Gina from Hoboken - Always says something nice to me. That makes me feel good.
Erole - I finally got to meet Erole!! And he took a picture.
Figment - Finally met him too. I thought he was cool cause he laughed at all my stupid jokes, but then I found it was just because he was stoned. That does explain the crazy-ass Wild Samoans style afro though.
Random Shit
Reading the thread, it looks as though there were a lot more of you fuckers there than I met. It's my own fault, but I gotta get around and meet you all. That is the only bad thing I have to say about the night. And finally, one more big thanks to Rooster. I had gone all night without a 'Randy Savage sighting', as they've come to be known. Everything was cool, until just before we left. It's great for you, you show up, hand on the arm "Bonesaw is Reeeeeaaaaady", you laugh and you're gone. I have to sit through an hour of drunken "Brother, brother, brother"s and "Oh yeeeaaaah"s the whole ride home. I'm asking you, next time, please don't encourage him. You know who I'm talking about.
That's it, a great night indeed. Can't wait to do it again.

Well, what can I say that hasn't already been said? I know I haven't been out with the RF crowd for quite a while, but Jenn and I had a blast Fri. night and I remembered why I liked hanging out with you all to begin with. So thanks to everyone we talked to and hung with for making it so much fun. Hopefully, we'll do it again soon. <P>
R&F- I always thank you guys for being so good to your fans. Two class showmen, and we'll all be with you from 2-6. <P>
My band of the night was Seymour Glass. A good sound and a really solid set. Jenn liked Z-wheeler. After the huge amount of Monty Love hype going in, I gotta say I was pretty disappointed in their set, though. Too much "noise," not enough music. All inall, though, all the bands were entertaining and it was a great night of music.
Special props to all the guys (and gal) in the Moshtones. You did the Board proud!

Hopefully, we'll be doing it again soon!

I must say Latterday Saints were pretty impressive. I was totally into their set, and they had a nice mix of straight up rock and sexy grooves. Monty love had great stage presence - like when the dude knocked out his tooth, but they lacked that certain something. Sweathogs were cool, but the clergy were the ones who seemed to do it for me.

I had a great time on Friday. Playing with the Moshtones was a blast, eventhough I almost fell off the stage a few times (it was kinda small). But anyuway, I'm glad people enjoyed the show. The other bands really rocked it out. I just wish i could have gotten my hands on some ribs!

first of all no one is kissing moshin's ass. she never claimed to be able to sing, in fact she claimed she could NOT sing. she got asked to sing, they WANTED HER, she didn't WANT to do it. we all appreciated the guts she had to go up there and take the stage as lead singer, and kick ass while doing so. i'm so proud of the confidence she had that night and the whole time leading up to it, i don't think i could have done it.

no we couldn't hear her perfectly at hard rock, but we knew how much it was taking for her to stand up there with her head up and actually be the lead singer, knowing that she is not a singer.

if you don't have anything nice to say don't say it at all, you just sound foolish and we don't want to get the wrong impression of you baby now do we.

First of all nobody is kissing Moshin's ass. I think Moshin did a great singing job at the Rock N Ribs. Considering the fact that she is not a professional singing and was asked by Ron & Fez to be the lead singer of the Mighty Moshtones and only had a few weeks of practice which I'm sure she busted her ass to be ready for the show . It take a great deal of courage for her to get on the stage and perform in front a large group of people. I really admire her for that. And Mickey-D Gvac, Jersey Rich, Legroom Music & 40-second Delay ALL did put on a kick ass performance.

I think Moshin is a wonderful person. Clearly, the fans who were invited that night thought so too.

I think the R+F fans do not have that desire to tear people to shreds as many other fans do. It's just a different crowd.

Moshin & I worked real hard to "pull this off" --- & we did -- The rest of the Moshtones were great and we ALL helped to have her build the confidence to stand on a stage in front of 400+ people - It's not easy - Hip - Hip - Hooray !!! It was a great part of the night and I am proud to have been there and see her do it.

this board is far from what you would call being elite. what we are is a tight knit community. we're friends. we don't allow the people we care about to be torn down by ignorance.

It is obvious from your posts that you do not know Moshin. If you did you would not be talking this way. It is also obvious that you were not at the Hard Rock that night. All her friends were there wishing her the best because she never professed to be a singer. We all respect her for being willing to take one for the team if it didn't work out. In the end it was obvious that she worked her ass off and I wish that there had been some prize for most improved to give her. It is a sign of how everyone feels about her that the band did everything to help her do a great job and her presence won the audience over. She is a wonderful lady.

For all its worth. Moshin needs to be given alot of credit for what she did. For someone who said she is not a singer but did it in the spirit of the Ron and Fez show and the board. I give her alot of credit.

She worked on being the best she could just so that not to disappoint everyone. Besides not many people would have the guts to go up on stage and do what she did.

Hey I know how nervous she was because I was the one that drove her to the show. As much as I tried to calm her down all she worried about was the show and making sure everyone enjoyed her performance. I applaude her for that.

I cheered because she is my friend and deserves my support. Just like FBP

I don't think it's really sunk in yet as to just how incredible that night was. It was the very first time "The Moshtones" ever performed in front of anybody, and we got to do it at the Hard Rock Cafe in New York City, and live on the radio! How many other bands can claim that?

And Moshin herself was nothing short of spectacular. She was a nervous wreck in the weeks leading up to this, yet came through with flying colors.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words, and thanks again to Ron and Fez for the experience of a lifetime.

Well after reading all these posts about the R n R fezzzztival...I have to say I was VERY happy to see all of you again. It was the beginning of one HELL of a weekend for me.
Fuzzy...I FINALLY got to give you that kiss on the cheek!!! (woo hoo!)
And everyone else...I am glad we can all hang...even when I am not able to talk. (Which I am sure some of you were grateful for!)
And as for Moshin...I am VERY proud of her and how she handled herself in front of god knows HOW many people. And let's not forget the most likely 500,000 + that listened in in NY AND d.c.
I just look foward to the next event.
