I have spent many hours creating these so called "artsy-fartsy crap" sigs you are referring to.
I think they make this board more interesting and fun to look at...
And they give people a little chuckle...
Couldn't we all use a little chukle in our lives?
So.
If you don't like the speed at which the pages load I have a few recommendations.
1. Get a faster Internet connection.
or
2. Change your preferences as Gvac mentioned.
or
3.F off!
