Does anyone know anything about these people? Do they know radio at all or do they see big ratings in one market and assume it will happen in another, perhaps this explains why Lickass has been given another shot in NY?

all i know is that Gary Blum was General Sales Manager at WNEW before any of this was going on.

Blum has been the GSM for WNEW since I interned there, so he's been with the station throughout the whole "FM Talk" stage as well as the "Rock of New York" days. He's a good guy, and from what I saw, a supporter of O&A.

So obviously, he knows NY Radio.

I believe that Leykis was the only hot talker still under syndication contract to WNEW... D&M were not under contract.

This was PROBABLY the main reason why Leykis was brought in.

I think everything here is a stopgap measure til the shitstorm settles and Infinity figures out what the fuck to do with WNEW.

I'm still surprised Wease was played, considering he was brought in as a "friend of Opie."
