If you are going for music style and the most original, I would have to say that the sweathogs were the best.

I liked the Sweathogs, but Monty Love was certainly entertaining. A good bar band, not sure if they'll hit it big.

How do you know who won? I stayed for the entire show and didn't hear anything, or see anything here about a winner...?

well obviously all the bands that played friday night were good or they wouldnt have been there ... Monty Love was fun and had excellent stage presence...but to put a punk band and the word "original" hand in hand is a joke. The last thing I want to do is talk trash about any bands, especially the Staten Island bands that played on Friday ..but the judges of this contest evidently dont know music very well...and were most likely looking for a party rather than a good "original" band.

Seymour glass is easily the most
original. in my opinion if they ever
got signed they'd have a huge
following.

Obviously the judges were swayed by the "stage presence" category with respect to Monty Love. I admit they were good on stage, but what else can you expect of a punk band on stage than that chaos. It would have looked really funny if the guys from Seymore Glass or The Sweathogs stripped down nude, jumped off the stage and knocked out their teeth. I watched every band closely, and I gotta say that the Latterday Saints were the best in the three categories. They had great presence, could play the shit out of their instruments and were original. They seemed to combine numerous influences and pack them into a nice tight package. My head was bobbing throughout their entire set. Out of all the bands, I can easily see their stuff being played on the radio. Good job, guys. I'll be at your next show. When/where is it?

I thoroughly enjoyed Monty Love but Seymour Glass was the best band that night.
