World Peace

How can it be achieved? Any ideas?

First off, our entire brain structure would need to undergo a radical shift.

We're biologically hard wired to catagorize things in terms of opposite; man or woman, black or white, rich or poor, American or non-American.

HOwever, we are more than just a product of our genes and education can play a major role in this. We have to teach our kids that differences and cultural diversity should be embraced not feared.

The women's movement was the first step in this direction. How can we begin to think of accepting the Chinese for example when we regard half of every culture as inferior?

The next step is to eliminiate the hatred between the various religious groups. As we leaarn more about the world around us, there is less of a need for the superstitious crutch that religion provides. Every year more and more people (generally, the better educated and intellectuals) move away from religion. As religion is one of the major devisive factors in the world, with more people killed in the name of "god" than for any other reason, this movement can only help bring a measure of unity to the world.

Will these measures bring about world peace? Of course not. But they are a step in the right direction.

My comments re religion are not meant to offend anyone. I encourage the free flow of ideas. Comments anyone?

Religion is for stupid people. You could be the smartest man alive but if you believe that there's some magical creature who created the universe, then went into hiding, but demands to be worshipped, but won't tell us the right way, and sends people to hell, despite his being all-loving and all-forgiving, is an idiot. And I was an idiot for 9/10ths of my life...I could go on, I could be more coherent, but I'm the silly guy around here.

World Peace could be brought about by declaring war on France. Who's going to defend the French? At the end of it all, the French will be dead and we'll all have united, like in "V".

But with the French dead, what would we call French Fries? Wouldn't we have to change the name of them to something else?

I'm thinking maybe another country? Perhaps Spanish Fries, or even Chile Fries, just to mess with people's heads. Australian Fries sound cool too!

I like the idea of Chile Fries. Sounds nice and spicy.

Naturally, we'd have to kill the French Canadians as well. We could just force them to change the name "Canadian Bacon" to "Ham" out of fear.
