Exactly Pantera; thats what I meant. The vibe I'm hearing from Ron sounds like the Format Switch is not a matter of IF, but WHEN.

With Hope, this will all be for the best. In the not-too-distant-future; we may be hearing R+F on a station that supports them; in a time-slot they deserve, and we'll all look back at this and wonder why everyone got so upset.

A show this good just doesn't go away. It may move, but Ron and Fez are simply too good.

So much for Ron and Fez taking over O&A's spot. This change SUCKS ASS!!! Who's listening to the show from 10-2? People are at work or taking a lunch break, nobody's driving to work or home at that time. I guess that's it. Maybe they can put Like-Ass on for 8 hours of woman bashing.

BTW, if the FCC revoked NEW's licence, would anybody notice?

Everyone breath deep, and go on ebay and buy a reel-to-reel player that can handle a 10" reel. Set it to 3 3/4" speed, and set it on a timer for 10 am. You will be able to catch the show, and if you're good, you can dump it to cassette tape, and pop in the tape during your drive home.

I've been gone and just got back to SU for the show... All they had left was R&F and they're trying to F that up now too.

Did they say Lickass would be filling the afternoon drive-time slot?

I remember when Ron and Fez first moved from overnights (11PM-3AM) to Mid-days (12PM-3PM)...everyone was overjoyed, hailing it as a "promotion."

When they were then moved to nights (7PM-11PM) everyone bitched that they'd never listen because of TV. Their audience grew even larger, though.

Now that they're back on in mid-days with an EXTRA hour (10AM-2PM) people are complaining once again.

I say be patient, listen when you can, support the show however you can, and I'm sure all will work out for the best.

Poor Ron and Fez all they want is to be a successful show and everytime they get a good grove going they get moved.. I liked them best at nites cause of work.. my nites always became better when i heard the words "broadcasting live...." well now at least i can listen to more than 40 min of the show.. so that makes me happy.. i am hooked so i will follow no matter where they go...

I agree, this is a bad move for the station and for the R&F fans. They should have had the 2-6 slot even if there was a format change.

Could this be because of Ron's talking about O&A and letting callers give out the O&A web site? Infinity is deadly serious about this and the FCC hasn't made any decision yet.

Maybe Ron should pull back on the O&A talk?

I, unfortunately, will no longer be able to listen at all. I live upstate, out of range of WNEW. I work nights in White Plains, and would listen there. I wish them all the luck in the world; they deserve it for everything they do for that station.

Cost benefit analysis.

On the plus side......for us DC listeners......we might possibly get R&F on live here in Washington. Finally. After about a year and a half of them being on tape delay (they were initially on live when WJFK first started airing the show back in the old 11pm to 3 am timeslot).

On the downside, I'm in school every weekday, so while I'll be able to listen to quite a bit of the show, I won't get to hear all of it, and I pretty much won't get to interact at all (probably no phone calls or instant feedbacks, etc.)

And the biggest negative - Don & Mike on afternoons.

Fuck it all.

I'd be glad to get the boys live.......but I'm just so depressed at having those other two assholes back in a position of power I don't know what to do.

I think it would be best for R&F for take the 3-6 slot. Then they could broadcast live, and most of the student fans of theirs(many many many) could listen to the show. Most people are off of work by 5, so they could at least listen to an hour of the show on the drive home. It saddens me to think that i have to depend on reruns to get my fill of the duo down here in crappy ass DC. I wish R&F had their own station. Live 24 hours a day. So when i listen radio doesn't suck! Radio is definitly a dying art form... and without the good shows, (O&A, R&F, even Love line) no one listens, because they have the internet and the TV for the music they want and don't have to listen to stpuid programming .... <P>

I truly cannot comprehend WNEW's reasoning for this debocle. In my opinion, Ron & Fez's show is best suited for the 7-11 shift. Think about it, Would "Big Ass Afternoon of Fights" be something that would get your attention? All I know is, NEW has taken the one remaining show they have that has proven itself as a ratings getter, and put it a timeslot when most of it's current audience (myself included) is at work. At the same time, they will be moving two shows that a proven NY ratings kryptonite into more valuable time slots. I don't know about the rest of you, but I hear the country music coming already.

This really, really sucks. Over the summer and when I'm on vacation, I sleep to at least 11, 11:30 AM, thus I will miss some of the boys. Now with school starting again, there's no chance that I'll get to listen to the boys, unless I can sneak a radio during class...

I think WNEW is moving Ronnie & Fezzie to different slots in order to confuse the casual listener (not the RonFez.netizens) so that the ratings will drop, thus giving WNEW brass the perfect reason to fire Ron & Fez's asses. I really hate WNEW.
