it has been said that a letter is
worth 1000 sentiments... that
means LETTER not email, fax or
phone call. if someone takes the
time to sit down, type out and
mail a letter to a company,
polotician or school they are
generally take much more
seriously that "quick
communication". Think about it.
when was the last time you
wrote a formal business letter to
some one, ever??
THIS is how the catholic leauge
got their way, THIS is how
marginal groups are heard. large
companies *infinity/viacom* freak
when people start sending snail
mail... that means they are really
angry.
here is my proposal:
write to WNEW-FM (if anyone still
works there), write to Viacom,
write to CBS, write to infinity. it
will show orginization amongst
listeners. make it clear you will
no longer buy ANYTHING
advertised on their shitty shows
(IE lickass and dong & muck). if
you really feel ambicious write to
the king of advertisers
ANHEISER-BUSCH... ie budweiser,
eagle snacks, etc. other
companies that advertise a lot on
viacom stations:
sam adams (boston beer)
blockbuster
coors
radio is a business... not a
charity. they need to sell
advertising space... if the
10,000+ members of this board
manage to generate 10 letters
total, that echos the sentiments
of the board... remember suits
hate mail. that means some one
cares enough to take 30 mins to
hate them... or love them.
if you tell anheiser-busch you will
no longer eat eagle sancks and
drink budlight, if they choose to
support a company that ditches
good shows, they will eventually
listen... THINK ABOUT IT!
complaining on the internet and
rallies of 20 year olds do nothing.
putting your ideas on paper
makes these men and women
take you seriously, i've seen it
work before.....
