Cliques on the board

i've been hearing people talk about this as long as i've been on the board and i have to say the notion of this is bullshit.

every time i go to any event i have no problem saying what's up to anyone. everyone's always mad cool, and the more i meet new people it just gets better. sure certain people hang together but they are friends who know each other, why wouldn't they?

if you go to a place and there's a person you don't know and a person you do, you'll probably end up talking to who you know. this isn't a "clique", it's just common sense.

i know when you're new it's nerveracking to go up to random people and be like, are you on the board? but we've all gone through it and eventually you get to know everyone and it's much easier to go hang out.

i'm sorry for you board guys who feel left out, because it's really kinda your own deal. i cannot name one person i'm not friends with that i've met (except hosp he's an asshole) and although ron and fez is what makes me go to the events it's the board that makes it the best time.

i say relax, drink some beers, and go talk to some friends. it's all good with us and take it from me the board people are the coolest and nicest around. just forget about the clique nonsense and say what's up.

Havent gone to an event yet. But I agree with ya fatty. Socializing is always what you make of it. When I finally go to my 1st event, I plan to wear my RF.net softball jersey to ID myself. Anyway..the main reason I'm replying is to say that I like the sigpic. Very cool for the week to come. C Ya!!!

Well said Fatty. I don't think it is cliquey at all. I've only met 2 members and they were the sweetest ever! (Tazz and AJ) And I know when I finally get to go to a gathering everyone will be very welcoming and nice, you just have to do your part too....I would love to talk to and meet everyone on this board (well maybe not everyone :p) and no one should feel left out.

when i went to my first RF.NET event i only knew 2 people from IM's and have never met them in person...at the game i saw the lil Cliques cuz everyone knew one another...BUT as you go to more events or just go out and chill with some of these MO FO's the clique goes away...i tend to hang with the friends i first met at the softball game BUT i wouldnt say its clique-y now since i have been around these people more and more

Its not that I'm not allowed in Whoville because my heart is too small, its because i dislike Cliques. Its childish. I understand what AngryMissy said. I too am very shy. okay i love you all to death even todd i think his posts are rather insightful but you know i have to agree with what poot said...he was the second person i ever talked to on the board so hes got my undeniable respect and admiration ( even though the first time we talked he was a dick to me. lol) but this board has never been about cliques and it still isnt now, its just about people with a common like meeting other people with that common like and just because people form friendships doesnt mean its becoming a clique i think some people need to realize that we get what we put in...so dont bitch if you think its cliquey and you havent done anything to fix it, cause i guarantee you right now any of these people on this board would be glad to speak to any fellow board member at anytime. i know i try talkin to as many as i can and they've all been nothing but nice to me. so if you think its a clique your wrong its more of a family than anything.
