Hey Hordeking, im a bit confused, cause recently ive been feeling a little burst of Malice and Angst towards lots of things, and for no paticular reason. Its probably not my ADD medication, as i have never had thi problem before, but Ive become very bitter to certain people, and I am constantly look at the downsides of everything.
A good example was i was watching american idol (an awful show) and I said that any talentless jackass could write better songs than those kids will. I then preceded to say that If Justin wins, we might as well give the nation ebola, so we can die as fast as his career.

Im not a "goth" kid, im just your regular, doesnt wanna be the popular guy, but doesnt care about what everyone thinks. I think that i noticed that i was really angry with lots of things for no reason was when my friends called me the Most Offensive Person theyve ever met.

Think its some chemical imbalence Hordeking, am i just an awful warped mind or is it normal to have some burst of rage every now and than?

DC REED- You describe the "malice and angst" occuring only "recently." Was there a particular event or events that triggered them? It would seem that something is up, because you describe being bitter to only certain people. This means that your angst and bitterness and malice is not universal but controlled to the extent that it's directed towards particular people that irk you.

Why do your friends call you the most offensive person ever? You seem to have anger (etc) towards some people some of the time and the feelings haven't translated into anything other than words and thoughts.

It's almost certain that you have some underlying issue that is causing these thoughts. I don't see any evidence of depression or antisocial activities, but rather someone who isn't out to impress anyone other than himself. The foul mood will probably pass on it's own, but you really need a clinical evaluation to be certain, as I'm sure there are factors and background infromation that you haven't listed here.

Additionally, given your medical history of taking medication for ADD, you definitely need to get this checked out. Sometimes a person can take a medication for years and years and then suddenly it causes all sorts of nasty side effects and problems. Go to the doctor that prescribed them for a checkup. He'll probably want to check your blood levels to get a clearer picture of what is going on medically (if anything).


Regarding American Idol, I agree that any jackass could write better songs. Many people share this opinion. In fact, from what I've heard more people than not feel this way.

You're not aweful, everyone feels like that after watching American Idol. If you're really on meds for ADD though, you really should consider talking to whoever's prescribing them for you. There are some new meds out there that are longer acting and more effective and there are also some non-stimulant meds that are used for ADD as well. Maybe a new treatment would be helpful and by talking to your doctor or therapist you'll find out if there is an issue, like clinical depression that needs attention. It's hard not to feel kind of crappy with everthing that's going on in the world. Just don't be afraid to reach out to the people who care about you, whether in person or on line when you're feeling down on yourself. <P>

SOCCORMOM reminded me of something I meant to put in my earlier post when discussing how a person can take medication for ADD for years w/o problem and then suddenly start seeing weird side effects.

Ritilain is frequently prescribed for ADHD. Did you know that ritilain acts as depressant in children but it acts as a STIMULANT in adults! You were a child when the ritilain was prescribed. Many years have passed. You really need to get to your doctor so that this (at the very least) may be reviewed.
