when some one is hurting some one i care about i want to help but i generally don't feel like i need to be protected, and sometimes i don't want to be....
is that normal?

NELLIE - If I understand your question, it seems like you want to help a friend when someone is hurting them, but don't want to be helped yourself if the situation is reversed.

Yes, it's normal. That's why in many situations it's a good idea to ask the person you seek to help if the help is desired.

I'm overly protective of people who I love and care about, but if you fuck with me once, it's very hard to get back in that level of good graces with me. I dont know if its the same thing...

I've taught myself to give everyone a fair and equal shot, and if they fuck it up... well then they'll get there karma back.
